Re: ***NCAA Basketball 09 Community Event Recap***(Ask questions)
LOL, Tomba isn't an all-knowing EA employee ya know. If it hasn't been answered I'd imagine he doesn't know the answer. From the recap of the event it doesn't sound like they were able preview the dynasty mode at all."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

That's understandable, the problem is when the question gets ignored, people start to wonder what's going on.Comment

I wasnt getting upset, just wanted to emphasize how that was an important feature to me. I understand he didnt get the complete game, but I would hope when he does find an answer he would relay to us ASAP. Overall I am pleased with the answers we have been getting here so far.Comment

But because of a non-disclosure agreement, Tomba can't reveal certain things.
If he did, they could take him to court.
Trust me, we saw every feature in the game. There was nothing under wraps.
But an NDA is an NDA.
And, btw, this isn't EA trying to hide stuff ... they just don't wanna give out all the info so early. It's a marketing thing.Comment

Re: ***NCAA Basketball 09 Community Event Recap***(Ask questions)
LOL, I was wondering as it took about 5000 questions to get a response on online dynastys.
To me, that could make what has been the second best ncaa basketball game a whole lot better. The NCAA Football Dynasty is to me the greatest feature ever for online play. I could care less about hair styles, who wears what colored visor, etc.GEAUX TI-GERS!Comment

Re: ***NCAA Basketball 09 Community Event Recap***(Ask questions)
What about pre-game lineup introductions?
I have always been a big 2k fan and am having to move to this as EA is the only game available now...
I just really hope I'm not disappointed...
If it helps answering me, my 2 fav things about 2k were the depth of the dynasty in being able to start at the small school and work your coach up the ladder, and the accuracy of the smaller conference teams....basically put, not everybody is BCS biased...--If you need it, you don't have it. If you have it you don't need it. But if you need and you don't have it, you want it. If you don't have any of it, then you really don't know how to get more of it to get started then anyways now do you? --Comment

Re: ***NCAA Basketball 09 Community Event Recap***(Ask questions)
Tomba, Thank you for the great article. However, It appears to me that dynasties will be lacking this year. In the past when EA has something that they are proud of and want to "hype up" it's in every press release and every article. Now for some strange reason,we're getting little info on dynasties, weeks before the game is released. Now we learn that there's a disclosure statement where Tomba can only comment on certain aspects of the game. One can only conclude that there will be no online dynasties, no multi-team dynasties and a very watered down dynasty mode overall. But don't worry, they'll try to get it in the game next year.Comment

I have also noticed that there is very little talk about dynasties, I hope they are just waiting to release all the details because i'm a dynasty guy and if that feature sucks, the game will probably suck for me as well.Roll Tide RollComment

Re: ***NCAA Basketball 09 Community Event Recap***(Ask questions)
I'm not familiar with this aspect of creating a game but when you employ a new game engine does that mean all the other modes have to be redone as well?
The dynasty mode wasn't terrible in MM08, it just paled in comparison to CH2K8. If they game play in NCAA09 is good and they have a similar dynasty from last year I'd be content."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
