Looks like all the Div 1 teams are not in, this is from the Sportsgamer message board:

EA has never been that good about making sure every D-1 school is in the game, here's a few off the top of my head that I'm wondering about...

Northern Colorado (Big Sky)-yes
Winston-Salem (MEAC)-no
Florida Gulf Coast, Kennesaw State, North Florida, South Carolina Upstate (Atlantic Sun)-no
Presbyterian (Big South)-no
Central Arkansas (Southland)-no
Centenary, IPFW, North Dakota State, South Dakota State (Summit)-no centenary. the other are
Cal State-Bakersfield, Chicago State, Houston Baptist, Longwood, NJIT, NC Central, Savannah State, Seattle, Texas Pan Am, Utah Valley State (Independents)-they didnt' have a category for Independents.

This is why they can't really have authentic schedules, Duke played Presbyterian in there first game and they are not even in the game.

I can't say all without looking them up, but a majority of those teams listed are not full fledge D1 members, they are on "provisional" status, which means they cannot play in tournaments and cannot compete for conference titles. They also do not play a typical full D1 schedule, most will play less than 25 games vs D1 opponents.

I can't say all without looking them up, but a majority of those teams listed are not full fledge D1 members, they are on "provisional" status, which means they cannot play in tournaments and cannot compete for conference titles. They also do not play a typical full D1 schedule.

I hear ya, but I believe all of them are in College Hoops 2k8. I guess EA chose not to add them yet.

Houston baptist, prebysterian, and NC central were the only teams not in CH 2k8.

Sad on EA's part to leave that many teams out. Some who have been D1 members for years.

yes they were..every team in CH2k8 could. Winstom-salem st just made it in my legacy. and teams like Chicago St have been in CH since CH2k4. I understand leaving out a team who just entered D1 this year, but EA needs to get on the ball.

Not that I would personally ever use these teams, but it would be nice to know that they are there.

I guess its ok to have a game where half the confernce is left out, or all the independts are left out. Sure these are huge great teams but thats what makes college bball great. The small teams upsetting big teams and getting to the big dance.

but thats where 2k was wrong. These teams on provisional status can't play in the Big Dance, nor can they play in conference tournaments nor compete for conference championships.

I thought we were after realism.

yes they were..every team in CH2k8 could. Winstom-salem st just made it in my legacy. and teams like Chicago St have been in CH since CH2k4. I understand leaving out a team who just entered D1 this year, but EA needs to get on the ball.

No your wrong..only some of those teams are on a "provisional" status. Teams like Chicago St have been a D1 school for a few years and can get an at-large bid in the tourney. They cant get a conference bid because they playin the independents.

I never said all the teams on the list were on provisional status. I was only speaking of the ones that were on provisional status, which is why I kept mentioning it.
