Re: Serious roster errors....please read
I am shooting for the most accurate simulation results. I just think this is a very good game and it's worth the time to get these ratings exact. The gameplay is awesome. If we can get the simulation engine to recreate believable results, we will have a GREAT game on our hands here.
So far it's working out for me...I'm liking these. I just hope season 2's results are similar.Comment

Re: Serious roster errors....please read
Yeah, but I wanted the people that already have named rosters to see it because I have updated ratings on these, and I figured if I put it in the roster section most people wouldn't even go there anymore. Let me know how these are working out for y'all. My simulations are a lot better. Not near as many b.s. upsets, but there are still upsets which keep it realistic.Comment

Is there anyway you could tell me what you did, so I can do this for my PS3 version of the game. You can PM me if you would like to tell.Comment

Re: Serious roster errors....please read
Man, I edited hundreds and hundreds of players ratings. The absolute main thing you need to do is go through all the mid-level and low-level conferences and look for abnormally high ratings for freshman centers. Usually they are an 80 overall with a 99 offensive ability which is crap because these guys are rated as good as McDonald's All-Americans. If you can get that much done, it will help your simulation engine out a lot.Comment

Yes, I brought their offensive ability down to match their defensive ability, which I think is only fair. If there are any other crazy looking ratings on these unheard of freshman, bring those down too. You're looking to bring their overall from an 80 to around a 74 or 75 which I think is being GENEROUS, but it definitely helps the sim engine when these low-level teams don't have a 7 foot freshman center with a 99 offensive rating dominating inside. I can't remember where, but someone actually replied on one of my posts about this and said that it wouldn't make a big difference so they were not gonna worry about changing these bogus freshman ratings. How does it not make a difference when these guys are starting for plain BAD teams and they are 7 foot tall and have 99 offensive ability? That's like saying it won't make a difference if you have Tim Duncan in the paint or not.Comment

Re: Serious roster errors....please read
Yeah I understand that. Most of these guys though are 7 footers with 99 rebounding also, so I just think this was accounting for TOO many upsets. I'm still getting upsets, but not nearly the amount of everyday twice a day upsets that I was gettting. And not to mention that these are completely unsubstantiated ratings on these guys because I can't even find info on em at rivals.com so I do not feel that their skills warrant a 99 off ability and 99 rebounding, but I just want accuracy on this stuff. Tyler Hansbrough's stats and bio can be found so I can substantiate the facts that he deserves ratings in the 90s.Comment

Re: Serious roster errors....please read
just curious and its prolly knit-picking but would happened to have update Jon Deilber to a better Three Point rating? All the dude shoots is threes and he seriously only gets a 50? How bout a fix of Dallas Lauderdale? How in the hell is this guy a SMALL FORWARD??!?!?! He's your typical hefty small CENTER!!Comment

Re: Serious roster errors....please read
I know for sure I updated Diebler, but I can't remember for sure on Lauderdale. Yeah, Diebler's three pt. rating was just plain stupid low. I upped it relative to his current 3 pt. percentage.Comment

In my case, I have restarted my legacy 3x and mostly just simming as I wanted to get a handle on how recruiting works. Funnily, on the 3rd or 4th year on the 3 instances I simmed my dynasty, Austin Peay figures in the top 4 teams in the NCAA tournament. They even won it on the 3rd year I thinkComment
