C-Webb on AI: "I can't play with him..."
It's a NY paper, so don't take it as gospel truth. We know how they work up the turnpike

Well I mean we've pretty much seen it. In Philly's offense, Webber is just a jump shooter. It doesn't take a genius to see he did a little more in Sacremento.
The dynasty will return
Paul Pierce... talent + heart + toughness = The Truth

the daily news isn't so bad. It's the Times that really makes up so much crap, especially Vescey. That guy is wrong on all his "rumors"...Comment

Its the NY Times and the NY Post that makes up alot of unconfirmed stories.
Still, I think if you want an overpaid jumpshooter on your team, it should be a SG or SF, not a PF. It defeats the purpose of the position he plays.Comment

Re: C-Webb on AI: "I can't play with him..."
as a person that lives in philly(me)..i think personally webber needs to shut up and just deal with it..maybe he'd get more touches if he wasnt goin so easy on that knee...i know he got injured before, but it's been a good yr. now[since he got injured] and he's been playin like **** since..his game is weak,he's a streaky player, and then everytime he attempts to post up..he's too slow and he does the same jump hook..soo,i've seen people with worse injuries, put up more effort than him..and basically me and a whole lot of other philly people, want him out....
basically the sixers was the only team to trade for that puss, and now he's talkin about ai...the kings didnt want him,and right about now no other team wants him no more, because he's a has-been..soo,he can keep talkin about ai all he wants, but the **** is gonna hit him when his contract is upComment

Maybe if we actually had an offensive scheme, this wouldn't be a problem.Comment

Yeah really...and a real point guard.
Webber's not 100% blameless, but you don't go from player of the month IN THE WEST, even with the injury...to being an ok player....just like **snap** that. And it has to do with the coach and the point guard.Comment

Re: C-Webb on AI: "I can't play with him..."
Well I'll defend Iverson by saying that it's not his responsibility to invent his own offensive scheme. Yeah he just dribbles around for 15 seconds, but everyone else just stands there waiting for him to pass it to them.Comment

Van Horn
Coleman
Webber
anyone im forgetting? As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"Comment

Remember, it's the Daily News that predicted Nick Van Exel coming to New York every year from 1998-2003. And that's just one example of how the Daily News makes up crap.
Either way, Webber is quickly becoming a great example of an idiot to me. It's not that he can't play with Iverson. It's that he can't play period. The 6ers didn't make Webber a jump shooter. Webber made himself a jumpshooter by hanging around the top of the key and not posting up.
I bet Detroit is glad Chris decided to stay in Sacramento."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

None of them exactly 'studs'.
Coleman was an old man by Philly...and Webber is nothing like the player he was. Unfortunately, he's about the only one who doesn't see that.
Iverson spread the ball a lot this year...his assists were high...and guys like Korver, the other AI and co benefited.
That's because they've set their games to play off Iverson.
Something Webber will have to do.
Unfortunately, you just get the feeling Webb is going to whine like a little girl all off season so that he can force a trade.
Webber got more than his share when they served out talent, size, skill, looks...the works.
He got nothing though when they were serving out heart and balls...Comment

Something you can do when you can pass like him AND have a team of shooters like Sac.
He's not a good mix in Philly as they needed a post player...and he's given up even trying to play in the paint.
His stats were nice in Sac...but the win / loss record wasn't.
He was traded for a reason.Comment
