Screw ABC and NBC. What was up with ABC trying to shove Rob Thomas down my throat before the game? And to make matters worse Robert Horry performed some song called switch. I tune in to watch a basketball game not some MTV type event.

Bring it back to CBS!

You had Dick Stockton as the lead pbp guy. Tommy Heinson did some color and he was a complete Celtic homer.

agree on the rob thomas comments. when i watch a basketball game the last thing i want to see is this tool serenading me after every commercial break.

I kinda like the song by Rob Thomas though, whatever. They need to have something more "epic" if anything. I miss the NBA on NBC so much, man. The NBA has not has the same zeal since they left NBC. Anyone know if there's any chance they'll return to NBC?

I also miss the old NBC coverage but let's face it the genie is out of the bottle when it comes to the concertization of sports. Just look at the NFL with their Opening night concert shows and big halftime spectaculars during playoff games.

NBC would be doing almost the exact thing that ABC is doing thse days. The NBC coverage tho was a lot better as they had very good announcers who know the game.

I think ABC has done a better job this year then last year but that isn't saying much.

and yeah ABC needs to stop with the music, b/c last year that Black Eyes Peas song almost made me kick my speakers.

I missed the good old days of NBC where even their music seemed so good. The part that I loved the most and missed the most about NBC coverage is the music. Thankfully those sharewares have it.

I'm happy the Finals are going to be on ESPN next year. Normally, this would be a bad thing because championship games should be on network TV and not cable. Although, I've been disappointed with the quality of picture on ABC. When I watch the highlights on ESPN after the game, it's 10 times better.

ABC is just not getting the job done. Since they're the network that has the finals, they should have much better coverage. The whole Rob Thomas thing is getting on my nerves though. For whatever reason, I really don't have much against Hubbie Brown. Al Michaels should stick to football. That's his strength. The theme music is terrible. They should have just stuck with the music that they used in the 2003 finals, but now that's ESPN's theme song which is very good. I miss NBC's coverage. They had great commentators. Even during the season, the lower teams on there were still good. The music is the best. Like I said earlier TNT has stepped up their coverage so much. They have all the great commentators. ABC has a lot of work to do.
