With a tweak/addition to his game, what player could become a star in this league?

Since his rookie year its been obvious to me that Josh Howard has a solid combination of tools that most star players have in their possesion. He hustles, rebounds and can pass the ball very well. He also has the skill of creatin' for himself and others. I think if he continues to improve his mid-range game and become a more consistent scorer, he could possibly be the guy that Dallas may look to, to get them to that next level. He doesn't really have to focus on the three-point shot because obviously, that isn't one of Dallas' weaknesses. He shows a lot of emotion and although it got him in trouble at times this season, it looks like he has that passion and desire to win. If he can become a more dependable guy on the offensive end in crunch time and continue to improve defensively, he could be one of the future all-stars at the SF position.

If Amare Stoudemire can stop dropping passes in the lane........he'll be UNSTOPPABLE offensively. Defensively, he just needs to get a little more aggresive.

Chris Bosh will be a star not if, but when he adds another 10 pounds of muscle so he can be able to bang inside. He already has a quickness advantage over most PF's in the league and he has a great mid range shot for a big man. He can break defenders down and throw a monster jam. He just needs the added muscle to be able to post up a bit. Once he adds that dimension to his game, he'll be virtually unstoppable.

3 no-names (to the casual fan) that could blow up with a few tweaks...

        1. If Joe Johnson were more a little more aggressive to the bucket ala D. Wade...he'd be a huge star. He already does everything else so well.

        2. If Tyson Chandler could develop his offensive skills a bit, his fiery personality would also make him a big name. He should be trying to emulate how 'Sheed played in Portland...2 or 3 go-to low post moves and a 12-footer would solidify this kids rep.

        3. Dre Igudala(sp?) in Philly...he's got the athleticism and defensive skills, if he could develop some consistent range on the J, he'd be tough.

When Dwight Howard refines his post game... watch out.

I think if Tony Parker got a J, he could be a superstar. If he's consistently hitting shots, it'll force his man out to guard him, and with his quickness he could easily blow past them.

Good passing skill is needed from any players. So if Amare stops doing that, he'll be surrounded and instead of finding someone open he'll force a shot or a dunk up.

I really like what I've read, especially the notes on Tyson Chandler and Dwight Howard. Let me throw Dirk Nowitzki out there. You'd probably say, "but goul, he's a star!" I say he isn't. I say he is overhyped. If Nowitzki was better defensively, he'd be a true force in the league -- enough to take the Mavericks further than they've been.

If Josh Smith added a consistant mid range and three point shot to his arsenal hed b 1 bad muthaWAT!!!! I know he has a consistant mid range game from watching him play with tha Atlanta Celtics (AAU Team) and if he betters on it he'd b a solid player.

Also if he added a strong low post game, and were a little less aggresive, wow hed b a beast.

I think if Gerald Wallace had a better outside shot, he could be a star. He surprised me, because his shot isn't HORRIBLE, but if he didnt turn the ball over so much and had a better handle, Wallace would be amazing.

Yeah...forgot about him. He played the Cavs really tough.

Add a jumper and a little bit more control, and look out.

4BiddenKnight.....I mean if he stops DROPPING passes meaning passes GIVEN to him from Nash or whoever while he's in the lane.

If Jamal Crawford could work on his shot selection and perimeter defense, this guy could become a star.

                          Vladimir Radmanovic.

If he needs to develop more awareness and agressiveness when rebounding and on offense he needs to work on his post up game and the ability to change direction in the lane so he doesn't get stripped or charge over his defender.

He has the physical skills and jump shot to average 20 points easily...just like peja.

Nenad Kristic & Richard Jefferson could be stars soon. Jefferson 3 pointer shotting is not that consistent, but it is way better from his rookie season. If he had stayed injury free this past season I thought he was going to make the alll star team. Kristic has a nice stroke and if he can develop it, he can be dangerous, his post game is good, but he needs more moves. He also needs to bulk up and learn when to be aggressive because he's foul prone. If he plays 30 minutes he's normally effective and the Nets win most of their games.
