There was one thread for the NCAA tourney, and it worked out perfectly fine, so I don't see why its a problem here.

Nah its just good basketball. Fans today want a player to score 60 more than they do a team to have 7 players score in double digits. Hence the reason the Suns and Heat are at home.

Husker.....The Suns out of ALL teams were ones to distribute scoring throughout the lineup.

And Clay, it's sad, yeah. The playoff thread is dead, it should be MUCH more active. Oh well. I'm happy for the Pistons to be in this spot. They strived and perservered when they were discounted. I would LOVE for the Pistons to win this, although it's gonna be hard.

I have a little dilemma on my hands anyway. I'm going to work tonight, so I cant catch the game. I have 3 options. One is to have the computer on in the back tuned to the gametracker, or (this one's a stretch altough he let me do it for the Sox/Yanks Game 7) I can ask my boss to let me put the game on the radio. Last but not least, I can just come and watched that shortened replay that ESPN has on at night. It'll be hard not to find out the winner b/n the end of work and the replay, though.

I don't know what it is but the NBA Forum just lacks TRUE NBA fans. Its like people just like THEIR guys and THEIR teams. So if a discussion isn't involvin' either guys/teams they love or guys/teams they hate, they aren't interested. Take the NCAA Basketball Forum for example....Even after Duke, UConn, Kentucky etc. was eliminated, you still could find fans of those teams postin and discussin the next matchups without some obvious hate for one of the other teams.

Thats because on average the NCAA tourney is a hell of a lot more exciting for people to watch then the NBA playoffs. Noone (i dont think) fills out 20 different brackets for the nba playoffs. The tournament is alot better then the playoffs especially recently.

I admit that basketball isn't my main sport but I enjoy the game and I try to bring something intelligent to the conversation. As for this series, eh it's been a bit boring but i've watched the majority of it.

Now here's something that might interest you. As you know in Canada we don't get all the overhype and saturation that the game recieves in the US but that doesn't stop my mother from watching the game. Even tho some of the games have been blowouts she's still stuck with it and has watched the majority of every game. She's quite excited about tonight and is rooting for San Antonio.

As I said earlier, its what happens during the season all year long that affects the playoffs.

It getting pretty old complaining about why this forum isnt like others IMO. Its a useless to continue to complain and continue coming here.

The best thing you can do is start good threads about the Pistons and the Spurs. I started a thread here about discussing the teams and whats happening in this forum some time ago, and 2 particular posters told me whats the use of doing that when we have the team threads, which half were dead anyhow.

Point being, start threads worth discussing that makes people think, or you'll forever complain about what this place isnt.

Mark cuban said it best when he said the NBA doesnt market itself right.

Why can't you just be more like your mother? J/K....I know in my Barbershop the Old School guys are lovin this series. I talk with them about it and the conversations are pretty good.

Sure I wish the first 4 games weren't blowouts, but I think that made the series more interestin'. After the 1st 2 it was how can San Antonio be beat? After the next 2 it was Detroit has put the Spurs to sleep. Rob gives a great performance followed by an excellent one by Billups and here we are....Game 7. I've enjoyed it.

Maybe we should quit makin "OFFICIAL Playoff Threads" because it seems as if that takes away from some issues and topics that could be turned into quality threads....

This is kinda the reason why I have'nt made many responses about the Det-SA series. That thread has gotten too long and too unreadable for me to hop into.
