It's like saying if they played Hakeem at PF he'd be the greatest PF ever.
Except Duncan's been a starting PF ever since he's been in the league. It was either David Robinson, Rasho Nesterovic or Narz Mohammed playing the C position. Duncan can play center, yes but he has always been a PF and will be remembered at playing PF.

So....his skill set and stature is that of a center, you could very easily have put him at center and Nesterovic or Mahammed at the 4.

Just because the Sonics played Brent Barry at point guard in 04' doesn't mean he is a point guard.

          Those are two different situations.

Duncan is a PF. Duncan played PF.

Barry is a SG. Barry played PG (that season).

Botton line is Duncan is a PF, is currently considered a PF, and will always be considered a PF. End of Story.

James worthy anybody? He was very clutch and his all around game was superb.

Duncan over mailman and sir charles because of the 3 rings and who he beat to get it.

Duncan had to overcome SHAQ and Kobe twice just to get there, and he mudered shaq when he guarded him. Destroyed K-Mart in the finals.

Duncan just beat one of the best defensive teams and maybe the best defensive player ever in Ben Wallace.

I know these guys aint no Chicago "Jordan" Bulls but they aint no bums.

Malone sold out on freethrows and dissappeared in the clutch when it counted.

Barkley was worn out usually in the playoffs and the championship shot he did get he failed.

                Thoughts?

Charles is being nice, because I saw Barkely do stuff no man his size should have been doing. Guy was a power forward with the height of a shooting guard (6'4" or 6'6", depending on which measurement you believe), grabbing rebounds from some of the best big men of any era (led the league in rebounding), could score, shoot long-range jumpers, and (lot of folks overlook this) could handle the ball.

                Gimme a prime Barkely anytime.
