Season three for Darko : what happens?

The way I look at it, the kid has to be given playing time next season.

No rookie can take three years on the bench and not end up emotionally / confidence wrecked.

You can get all the practise time in the world...but development occurs in actual games.

So...what happens?

I thought he'd take the minutes McDyess gets...

However, Dice really impressed me in the finals. He's starting to look like the player he used to be (without the jumping)...his turn around J is sweet again and his rebounding is excellent. He could be a "6th man" winner next season IMO.

So...with Sheed and Ben still in their primes...where does that leave Darko?

No minutes again?

If Larry Brown is gone, he'll get probably start to see some meaningful minutes.

He should get traded to a low end team or a team that will let him play, or else let him get more minutes...or get rid of brown.

He has potential, he startred 1 game this season against the hawks and had 16 points

How do you know?

He's what, 20? No hope for a seven footer with enough talent to get picked over a player that won a national championship his freshman year.

I could easily see him putting up 12 points 5 boards next year, and who knows after that...he could possibly live up to the hype someday.

And if he doesn't then all this crap he gets will be warranted.

Dumars has told Darko and Delfino to be ready next year, so I think Darko's time is here. What people don't understand is that he has not once played in the summer league. Last year he was hacked by a Laker during the game 4 blowout and broke his thumb and his first year he couldnt get over to play because of legal citizenship issues. He just was not ready at the time to play NBA ball.

All the reports I have been reading say that he has gotten much better and stronger. His conditioning is also better. WHen he came his conditioning was a joke due to where he came from. People will be eating lots of crow, just like they did with Jermaine O'Neal. Delfino will also be a player to watch. He has been compared to a Ginobli type player but is raw. Hopefully they work out.

He might also be allocated to the NBDL to get playing time. That might be the best thing for him. He could start and get serious developmental minutes.

1st-chris bosh at the time they did not have a PF and no one knew that sheed would end up in DET bosh is only 1year older then darko

The Knicks are in dire need of a big man and the Pistons are always looking for hardnosed defensive minded guys (think Malik Rose).
