Re: what is PHX thinking?
Hey, he's another Arkansas talent. Pippen -- Central Arkansas ... Johnson -- Arkansas. After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

Re: what is PHX thinking?
Well I'm simply saying the Spurs won 4-1 & beat the SUNS @ their own game & Manu was the Spurs MVP throughout the Championship playoff run.
SUNS fans & TV so-called "Experts" were making JJ out to be MJ, sure he was important to the SUNS, but regardless if he was in the lineup from game 1, the Spurs still win just as they did during the reg season against the SUNS with JJ in the lineup.
Manu ownz JJ & the SUNS, no other way to put it, just like Amare 0wned us this past reg & post season.
Give it up SUNS fans, there's no moral victories in sports anymore. Your team was a nice & feel good story thropugh the season, but ya'll need to accept the fact you lost to a much better team, or should I say a CHAMPIONSHIP SMALL DYNASTY team!Comment

Re: what is PHX thinking?
Then you need to read the posts, people made it out to seem the Spurs were lucky to beat the SUNS & DET, especially SUNS b/c of the JJ injury, LOL!Originally posted by caliph79I didn't know people here were denying that the Spurs won or are a better team????Comment

Re: what is PHX thinking?
can we stop all the talk about the spurs and suns series? its done and over and all excuse have been exhausted. We got beat by the best team in the league, done period. That's more than 27 other teams in the league can say.
Anyways as far as JJ...I watched every single game the suns played and he's worth every penny. He's the only one consistently on the Suns that can make his own shot. He's very young and has so many years to improve. He makes good decsions can play back up point, shoot on all spots of the court, had the best 3 point % on the team and HE ALWAYS guards the best guard on the team and does well. Come on, 6'7 guy can guard AI successfully...thats talent and we need him. He's a future all star, you nab him now b4 you regret it when he does become one. how many all stars today did not become one until maybe after there 3rd, 4th or 5th year in the league? Now that we have thomas, thats 3 players on the starting 5 that can play D, Marion, Johnson and Thomas.
Phoenix is not stupid, we have one of the best GM's in the league. What will be stupid is to break a possible championship team apart.Comment

Re: what is PHX thinking?
Rockin you're 1 of a very very few non-bias SUNS fans here.
Reports out of both Ariz & Atl is that the Hawks will offer JJ the MAX contract once players are able to officially sign contracts later this month. From all indications, PHX won't hesitate to match it.
The reason they made the QRich for KThomas trade was to beef up their team & improve their DEF but also with the plan to resign JJ & have him start in QRich's place.
But JJ is not worth the MAX contract, but in this new era of Free Agency, you're sometimes forced to dish out BIG $ to sign a player you really want.Comment

I just like to keep it what it is. You can make up scenarios and say we had injuries, but thats part of the game and the only thing that is absolute is the final score on the board.
As far as JJ, i can see how people don't see him as a max player, but i truly believe he has potential in the next 2 to 3 years to become one. I would hate to lose a player to develope into that, and if we have to match it, i would. In all honesty, i believe the Suns real future is Amare and Johnson. Those are the two in my opinion that will take over the Suns stars after the next couple years when nash is old and the improvement to Johnson's developement.Comment

Re: what is PHX thinking?
Too bad indeed. Apparently, TD is a team oriented person. Unlike other teams where the superstars get the credit if they win, and wash hands if they lose like pointing to the role players or coach as the reason of failure. TD will take the responsibility whether or not they win or lose. Basketball is a team effort, even Jordan cannot deny that truth, so saying that TD was not the person who defeated PHX is very true.Originally posted by TheMatrix31Too bad Duncan wasnt the person that beat the Suns this past year. I'm sorry. When it comes to Duncan/Stoudemire, I'm not worried with Amare. He can MORE than hold his own against the Spurs and Duncan. The problem was role players. We'll be getting deeper too, dont worry.
Indeed.
