Re: Nate McMillan to Portland
Unbelievable. He spends 19 years there and now he leaves. 4 years at 18 million was a lot to begin with. I'm sure Paul Allen overpaid big time.Comment

Re: Nate McMillan to Portland
Despite the fact that mine was posted first, I guess we'll use this thread as the "official" one.
Chad Ford reports that McMillan agrees to coach Portland... is he reliable at all?

Re: Nate McMillan to Portland
I was hearing 6 million a year......this is a joke.
McMillian......unbelievable.
Have fun with the Randolph and company....they'll never win anything. He had a chance to come back and build something after last year and he bolts....I hate professional sports.Comment

And now the Sonics turn to...
They could've really used Dwane Casey right now.
I think they go after Flip or maybe Terry Porter.Comment

Re: Nate McMillan to Portland
What a piece of ish...spent his whole life in Seattle and then when he finally gets something built he jets. We are a few resignings and another decent shooter away from being an annual playoff team. He can go to hell. Money talks and this proves there is absolutely no loyalty sports. Anyway.....now who? I would LOVE Flip Saunders but i guarentee that doesn't happen. But here are a few names who i've already heard and/or considered:
Terry Porter
Doug Collins...please...god...no
Hubie...OMG Sweet
Sean Elliott
any others?!
Larry Brown haha
Pat Riley returns to coaching...or kicks Stan VG out of Mia and so VG becomes SEA coach

Re: Nate McMillan to Portland
-Hubie is done
-Sean Elliott would be stupid
-I could really see Riles coaching the Heat. He's made some statements saying he misses coaching, badly and that he wants to be a bit more involved in the coaching aspect.
-I think Terry Porter would be a good choice. He knows the pacific north west and many still ocnsider him a good coach, but he just didn't get ample time to prove that in Milwaukee.Comment
