If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :) -

Originally posted by mavsman27Warriors will not make the playoffs. They suck.
Kings will not win their division or finish higher than the Mavs. Abdur Rahim and Bonzi Wells? lmao that does not make up for Dirk, Terry, Josh Howard, and one of the deepest benches in the league.
Suns will not win 60 games. Low 50s sounds about right. Last year they had no injuries and everything was just clicking. This year their luck will run out.
Rockets will be good but not great. Seems like every year the Rockets should have home court advantage but it just doesn't happen. This year will be no different, even with Stromile.
The Sonics will be good again. Losing Jerome James is a huge plus. Collison will see more PT as will Radmonovic.
Dont sleep on the Nuggets. A full season under George Karl.
Mavs once again will silence the critics (jealous of big D, the Cowboys, the riches, the Cuban, the Dirkster). Steve Nash? pshhh. We got Terry. Forget Finley we got Daniels. Josh Howard is an PTP'er. Dirk is still Dirk (25 and 10). Dampier can bang and dont forget Stackhouse and Van Horn off the bench along with a certain top5 pick from Wisconson. **ck the Rockets they are a 3 player team with a bunch of lifetime scrubs/ neanderthals.
SPURS ARE UNBEATABLE.
2. You're right, SAR and Wells don't make up Nowitzki, Terry and blah blah, but SAR and Wells are nothing but role players for the Kings. You forgot to mention Miller Stojakovic and Bibby. Didn't the Mavs lose Finley? You may not miss him now, but you will when you need someone to step up in the clutch.
3. I guess that's pretty obvious, they were the only 60+ win team last year
4. Swift will make that team much better as he'll finally get some quality playtime. The Rockets should be able to get off to a better start with tmac finally adjusting to playing with yao
5. I don't know how losing Jerome James would be a plus.. He did what was asked and stepped up huge in the playoffs
6. A lot of Denver's success is on the shoulders of that outside shooter and Camby's health. If they have them both, they may actually be able to get out of the 1st round for once
7. The homer is strong in youWhy did you fail to mention Shawn Bradley, Doug Christie or even Abdul-Wahad?!
8. That's what people thought about the Lakers and their Fantastic FourI do because I can, I can because I want, I want because you say I can'tComment

Originally posted by remixGotta remember that Webber played 46 games for the Kings last year. I agree that the Kings are much more of a lock than Seattle. The Kings core (Bibby Peja and Miller) will easily be enough to drive them to the playoffs.
Either way, I don't understand why Seattle hasn't resigned Radmanovic or Evans yet and if they don't succeed in doing so, their playoff chances are reduced greatly. Moore/Fortson/Collison is nothing compared to the Radmanovic/Evans/James of last year
The roster is probably better overall just because Collison was improving a ton at the end of the year, and Ridnour, Radman, and Evans will all be a year older and improved.
Fortson and Evans makes up the best rebounding duo in the league. Rashard Lewis and Ray Allen both put up 20+ points each game.
Closing out games is their forte because Ridnour and Allen shoot close to 90% from the free throw line and Fortson, Radman, and Lewis all shoot 80% from the line.
Damien Wilkins was already re-tained and he stepped up huge in the playoffs, he will take the minutes that Daniels was getting last year.
The Sonics are going to make the playoffs because they have three of the best shooters in the game in Allen, Lewis and Radmanovic and they have a past first point guard.
They still have one of the best benches in the league, although losing Daniels does downgrade the point guard spot, however Brunson is a decent player and can hold down the spot for a few minutes from what I've read.
The team is fine, and intact...and will be in the playoffs next year.Comment

Re: Last Three Seeds in the West
Originally posted by GameOver09I disagree. Ray Allen was in his contract last year, which motivated him to play better in the regular season and in the playoffs. How do you know they are going to retain everybody? Evans and Radmanovic are two crucial part of their team. If they don't resign those two they are in deep trouble. And who is their starting center anyway? Potapenko? Give me a break.
If they resign all of their key free agents they have a better chance of making the playoffs. And also, if they do make the playoffs it's because they have the weakest division just like what mrs. carraba said.
IMO, the Clips are the better team.
Clippers | Sonics
Livingston > Ridnour
Mobley < Allen
Maggette = Lewis
Brand > Collison
Kaman > Potapenko
Bench > Bench
Coach > Coach
History <<< History
Future >>> Future
We will get an idea who's the better team as the Sonics host the Clippers for the first game of the season for both teams.
Livingston is talented but he's like 12. Allen is the best player between the two teams and can take over in the important moments in the fourth quarter. They match up OKAY on paper, but when it really comes down to it they can't hang with the Sonics....because they don't have the fire power. Radman, Lewis, Allen and Ridnour all shoot 40% from the 3pt and that kills teams.
The Clippers bench is better? That's pretty funny. And one game, means nothing......the Sonics got KILLED last year in the opener to your very clippers......How'd the season turn out?Comment

Livingston is not a better player than Ridnour. At least not yet he is. A big reason for Seattle's great year was because Rid turned out to be a very capable true PG.
I doubt you could even name the Sonics bench so really your argument all together is preety flawed.Comment

Re: Last Three Seeds in the West
You really think so?
This year:
G- Mike Bibby l Jason Hart / Eddie House
G- Bonzi Wells l Francisco Garcia
F- Peja Stojakovic l Kevin Martin
F- Shareff Abdul-Rahim l Kenny Thomas
C- Brad Miler l Brian Skinner
Moore/Fortson/Collison is nothing compared to the Radmanovic/Evans/James of last yearComment

2. The Kings are not a top tier team in the West.
5. Losing Jerome James is a HUGE plus. Are you kidding me? this guy had 5 good games the entire season and parlayed that into a huge contract from Isaiah. He is horrible. Absolutely horrible. WAKE UP PEOPLE LOOK AT THE STATS HE IS ONE OF THE WORST CENTERS IN THE LEAGUE
7. Please do not ever say the name Shawn Bradley again. This guy is a disgrace to his family. Ppl like him should be shot, or dunked on by TMac and humiliated on Sportscenter every week. Eat me you mormon ***k.
8. Barring injuries the Spurs will be in the NBA Finals vs the Heat. This is not debatable. Do not compare the Lakers to the Spurs. They had a little bitch named Kobe aka the original T.O.. This Spurs team is nothing like the Lakers. Duncan > Shaq. Nazr > Malone. Ginobili = Kobe. Much deeper bench. tons of chemistry. Greatest coach of all-time.Last edited by mavsman27; 09-04-2005, 10:27 AM.Comment

Jerome james isn't shaq but I know plenty of teams especially "defensive monsters" that have spend tons of money on absolutely horrible centers, now I think of it didn't the mavs do a sign and trade last year and gave a 7 year contract to erick dampier!!!! like this guy isn't shaq, dream, d rob, or moses so it's not like horrible centers never got there money.Comment

Re: Last Three Seeds in the West
His name is Reggie Evans. He is the NBA's best rebounder but a terrible offensive player.
He is no longer on the Sonics.
What does Jerome James have to do with Dampier?
Hey kid dont change the subject. ADDITION BY SUBTRACTION. Jerome James sucks balls Dampier puts JJ to shame.Comment
