Yes I said the Warriors won't make the playoffs because they suck. Do you not understand that sentence? Maybe I should explain this to you. THE WARRIORS ARE A BAD TEAM. BAD TEAMS DO NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS. Is that ok or would you like me to elaborate? I was hoping people could make the connection between sucking, having crappy players, and not making the playoffs. I guess I was wrong. If you want to know exactly why they suck you can visit NBA.com and check out their roster.

On a side note: Toronto got absolutely humiliated with that Vince Carter trade. My apologies to all Canadians.
That would all make sense if they actually did suck. They have a pretty solid roster and could with health make a run at the playoffs.

Too bad they have a lot of talent. Again, moronic argument I'm not surprised at all seeing some of your ignorant posts in the 2k forum. Maybe you should look at their roster. It seems like you haven't done so in a few years.

And what do the Raptors have to do with this? This is about you not formulating good arguments not about the Raps...

I can think of 8 teams better than the Warriors right now. They have talent but that does not equal a playoff berth. They suck. They are not a playoff team. Get over it. You can have all the talent in the world and still suck.

Do you have any thoughts of your own on the subject or were you gonna plaigarize keRplunK for us... ? Care to add anything to the discussion? no? just gonna attack me all day?

        Get off my nuts.

Well, nowhere in there did you mention the words "in the west", so basically you are implying that they are the 9th best team in the league record-wise, which would put them in the playoffs. Your idiocy is just shining through now. Isn't it time for you to go back to preschool yet?

They have talent? But they suck? But if they have talent, why do they suck? Is it the coach? Is it their depth? What is it. I'm trying to understand. You're kinda contradiction yourself here. J-Rich had his best season last year. what makes you think he will slow down? Baron Davis when healthy is a top 5 point guard. If he plays anything close to the way he did during the latter part of last season, that will be a huge addition to them. They have a great perimeter defender in Pietrus, a great rebounder in Diogu. Zarko Karpakapa and Mike Dunleavy are gonna be good off the bench, or MDjr could start. Andris Biedrins played really well at the tail end of the season as well. This team is loaded. I didn't even mention Foyle you'll give them decent minutes and D-Fish is is one of the better backup point guards.

Sure a team can have talent and underachive, I realize that. But what you're saying is that they have talent, but that they suck... Why not elaborate and say why they suck.

Victories over the Suns (x2), Kings (x2), Rockets, and Sonics would tell me otherwise.

                Joel Pryzbilla
                Brad Miller
                Emeka Okafor

I can conceavably say that these are all better Center's than Damp. Duncan is a center,he may not start at center but he plays a good portion of his minutes at the 5. The only one's where you can really debate are Joel and Nenad Krstic.
Okafor's a PF from what I've seen. He can play C obviously (like most PFs) but he started at PF and played most of his minutes at PF.

82games.com says he played 40% of the total minutes in a game at PF while 24% at C.

Emeka Okafor of the Charlotte Bobcats, NBA player stats broken out by playing position on the floor with counterpart stats showing defensive ability and additional ratings

Jorl Pryzbilla is iffy IMO. He had a heck of a finish, but he's a very DUMB player. I remember he had around 4 goal tending calls (3 of which weren't going in) in the first half of a POR-DAL game in the 2nd half of the season.

He's at Dampier's level offensive (finisher and poor FT shooter). In fact, I think Dampier's better but not by a huge margin.

Defensively, Joel showed to have good rebounding and shot blocking numbers, probably better than Dampier but 1v1 defending, Joel, is horrible. Too many times he goes for head fakes and almost tries to give the player the drive to have a chance at a shot block. He's got a long way to go there.

Duncan plays the same amount of minutes at PF and C (26% and 28%, ADV. c) but I consider him a PF, as do most. When peope put down there top 5 players per position, Duncan will be a PF before a C one 4 out of 5 fans.

Obviously, yes Duncan's better, but I dont consider him a C over a PF.

Dalembert? Granted the guy has talent, but he's averaged 8-7-2 the past two seasons. I understand that he hasn't exactly had the best coaches to give him minutes and he will get them this season,l but I dont buy that one.

Oh and I believe Dampier put up 14-26-7 on Dalembert Head2Head this past season. Ouch!!!

Amare played almost at his minutes at C this past year and so I guess he is considered a C, but again, i think he's going to be a PF next year (or should be with KT starting at C) but I'm fine with him on the list.

                Personally, in order, I have

                1. Shaquille ONeal
                2. Amare Stoudemire
                3. Yao Ming
                4. Ben Wallace
                5. Brad Miller
                6. Marcus Camby
                7. Zydrunas Illguaskuas
                8. ???
                9. ???
                10. ???

I could easily make a case for Dampier getting that #8 spot, but I think he was and will be next season, a top 10 center.

Guys around that 8-10 area include Dampier, Kristic, Daembert, Haywood and Pryzbilla.

You're absolutely right... I have no clue why I put Oakfor in that list. I must've forgot that Primo Brezec was manning that spot.

Re: Last Three Seeds in the West

The key weakness that plagued the Warriors throughout last season was their interior defense and rebounding in general. Troy Murphy was a beast on the boards ranking #5 in the NBA at 10.8RPG, but besides him, there wasn't any other consistant rebounder on the team. Foyle brought interior defense, but his lack of offense and rebounding ability hurt him and reduced his minutes. He is much more suited to come off the bench and bring in an energy boost.

Murphy, Foyle and Fisher are decent players too.
