This pace is pretty good for Phoenix. I like seeing elbows thrown. LA can't get punked out. At least pretend to be tough I guess. Can't believe Phil's gone so deep to the too. Brian Grant is lighting LA up too. Amazing too because he's still cashing checks from us. Question. How many threes will the suns put up tonight?
EDIT
The lakers foul way too much. They have to take smart shots becaus they can't stop Nash and the suns in transition.Last edited by Slymm; 11-03-2005, 11:42 PM.Favorite Teams:

Re: 11/3 Games and rant
steve nash is up there with jason kidd as the best court vision point guards in the league. I can't believe how these guys see the court so well.
Doug Collins just summed up the league for me, superstars get their calls, thank you collins!Comment

Re: 11/3 Games and rant
Smush Parker is awesome... but what is that on his head? Did he get a labotamy or something?
I also like Raja Bell completely owning Kobe when he's in the game. Gets the T from Kobe, goes down and hits a three in Kobe's face, then gets Kobe to shoot a bad jumper. Real nice.

Re: 11/3 Games and rant
The sad truth is that the Lakers need Kobe to touch the ball on every possesion for the most part because they can't seem to do anything in the offense on their own as of now. I'm pretty sure that will change. Also, once kobe gets the ball it doesn't necessarly mean he has to shoot but when the Suns went on that nice run of theirs I don't remember Kobe getting the ball on any possesion. I mean this guy can almost score at will and I really think he can help get the rest of the team involved because not too many other players on the lakers are doing too well in the triangle.
On a side note, smush parker had a nice fake pass/layup and he stripped steve nash like 5 times in a row but other than Nash has been making good passes as seen by his 12 assists. Marion doesn't seem to be forcing it as much and is getting easier shots which results in more points. I think he was trying to hard to score and thats not really his game. The Suns are shooting well and have shown some good defense on some plays but have lots of lapses and need to do a better job on the boards though some of it is due to their small lineup. Kurt Thomas has made a few mistakes but the Suns got some good play off of the bench especially with Barbosa. The speed of the game picked up a little near the half and it will be interesting to see how the game progresses. I just hope the Suns can hang in there until Amare comes back though it may not even be this season. So far they hung with one of the top 4 or 5 teams in the west and are doing well against a playoff contender but again there is still plenty of time left so anything can happen.
edit: I'm also really liking James Jones. He may only be able to shoot but so far he is doing that well enough for us and I definetely think he was worth the 2nd rounder we gave. Of course it is still way too early but he has a good shot and I thought I heard some Pacers people say he shoots better than Miller though they were probably stretching it. Still hopefully he can add to his game and become a very good player. I also think the bench is going to be a lot better this year, which won't be too hard to do.Last edited by nkhera1; 11-04-2005, 12:20 AM.Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.Comment

It's almost a joke, really.
And Smush Parker is awesome. I actually like a lot of the players on the Lakers this year.

I never knew Raja Bell was this good, maybe it's because some of the suns players left and it has given him an opportunity to really shine, and he's doing a fabolous job of it right now. I guess the same can be said about smush parker. It's early in the season, so we will see how good these players really are.Comment

Good to see the Suns win and especially great to see the "new" Suns defense.Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.Comment

Re: 11/3 Games and rant
Wow a frustrating game as a Laker fan, but a very entertaining one as an NBA fan. When Amare went down I really thought Nash was gonna go back to "just another all-star" form, but he is making a strong case for his MVP award.
As far as the Lakers go, the offense is really starting to fall into place. Kobe is Kobe, we don't need to worry about that. Smush is really stepping up to be a scorer. Lamar getting his near triple double numbers. As a whole they look promising for later in the season. As far as defense goes . . .Comment

Re: 11/3 Games and rant
Raja Bell is bad ***. Seriously.
I liked what I saw out of the Suns, but again, we GOTTA hold onto those leads. It's gonna bite us. Hell, it already has!
I dont get why we didnt see much Jackson, Diaw, Grant (I guess they REALLLLLLY wanna limit his minutes). KT got more minutes tonight, which was nice.
I hate Kobe Bryant. The guy is amazing, but I just wanna punch him.
Marion bounces back from his "poor" scoring night against Dallas to put up another awesome line.
Three-point shooting was huge tonight, and I'm glad to see we can still gun it from the arc. We just have to be able to hold the leads.
And, yes, it's always sweet to beat the Lakers!Comment
