while i'm on the topic. The one big difference is that this year Shaq was out for the first 12 games. no preseason, no nothing. That's HUGE. and it doesn't help that they have all these injuries.

Something I have realized about the Lakers a long time ago, One Two punch with a supporting cast that hits shots when they have to. Lakers orverall are one of the weakest teams in the leaege they just so happen to have two of the best players in the league. Shaq right now is not there he needs a few more weeks of game time to get him back, but by the time that happens it might be too late. That being said if they do get it together and make the playoffs I know no team that would want to play them. Reminds me of the rockets when they won it all as a low seed.

Kobe is overrated, IMHO. I think he's one of the best players in the league, for sure, but him being hyped as better than Jordan ever was, is what makes him overrated as far as I'm concerned, because he isn't. The hype about him being better than a rookie Jordan at his age is also something I'd contend is arguable as well, considering they were at completely different stages in their career. Jordan's stats even as a rookie were extremely impressive. The difference was he was a first year player at Kobe's age now, and he was playing with the lowly Bulls at the time.

In any case, I do expect the Lakers to make a huge run starting January, unfortunately. In the meantime, I'm enjoying hearing about them lose. They'll probably win the championship again, which is why the playoffs are of very little significance to me. The regular season is fun to watch, but it's all downhill when the playoffs start and the Lakers are in the mix (which they will be despite their poor supporting cast)

I know all you laker-haters out there are having a good time watching the lakers lose . U can joke all u want, called Kobe overrated or even shaq. But i bet you the world the duo will carry their team to a fourth championship. And add to their ring collection. Holla at me at the end of June.

            Ok, here's how it goes.

For years, I've heard you and others say how Garnett is overrated because the Wolves have never gotten out of the first round. For years, people have completely ignored how Garnett has never had much talent around him. I have never been able to use that as a viable justification for him not being overrated. Don't ask me why.

*draw a circle on the chalkboard*

Now, Kobe and Shaq are being accused of being overrated. Now you are saying it's because their supporting cast is WEAK. Do you see the similarities here? Do you see the double standard here?

*draws a duck on the chalkboard. Figure out the symbolism of that one*

            Do you understand?

*draws the posion face guy on the chalkboard, just for kicks*

Now, back to my question, how has the Lakers supporting cast changed these past few years?

How can you say Kobe and Shaq areoverrated when they won 3 championships?

Read my post more carefully. Did I say I DOUBTED that the Lakers would come back from this slump? Or that Kobe isn't a top 10 player in the NBA? I don't doubt his skills, I just think the media overrates him, and it's as simple as that.
