They did beat the Kings with out Bibby and it was more Steve Franchise then Ming Dynasty. Stevie had 32 points on Bobby Jackson like I said before holla at me after the All Star break and I will tell you how good these teams are with less then half the games played many teams haven't hit their stride yet.

Only one game seperates 3-8 in the west plus you can't count out the Lakers defending Champs or Pheonix who are at 10 - 10

Maybe Yao hasn't played enough for ROY now, but he will be by the end of the season.

What surprises me is there isn't anybody pushing Jay Williams. I thought there would be at least someone maybe from Duke or a Bulls fan who feels he deserves it

Not only without Bibby, but Peja, Hedo, and Pollard. And Phoenix isn't doing much of anything. I think its ok to count out a team thats 10-10. This may be one of the only times Phoenix gets to .500 on the season.

Im surprised nobody said D.Wag. Dajuan Wagner for those of you who dont know he only played in 8 games, but he is playing 39.1mins 19.8ppg 1.8rpg 5.2apg 37.2fg% 80.0ft%. This is taking from cbs.sportsline.com.Wagner is proving himself to be an explosive scorer. He has scored more than 20 points in each four straight games. He matched a career best with 29 points against the Bulls on Dec. 4 and picked up his first career double-double (25 points and 10 assists) against the Knicks

What is hurting D Wag is his late start.n That stuff earlier in the season that kept him out of peoples minds. There is alot of games left for him to make some more noise.

My whole thing is that the West is so close that its too early for any type of predictions other than the Grizz suck

Theres a reason they call it Rookie of the Year not Rookie of the first month and a Half.
Battier would have won it last year at this point.
I'm so sick of people judging things so early into seasons.

                          Wagner or Ming

Dajuan Wagner and Yao Ming are both impressive.
We will see at the end of the year

                            Re: Wagner or Ming

Actuall Battier wouldn't have won Rookie of the Year at this point a season ago. Pau Gasol was inserted into the starting lineup in the third game of last season at Phoenix and scored 27 points. Shane did win Rookie of the Month twice I beleive last season.

Yao Ming will probably win it because of all the media attention and his ever improving play. However, Drew Gooden in my opinion is the best player out of this last draft. I can see Gooden averaging 20-24 points 7-8 rebounds a game in the next year or two. Currently he leads rookie scorers at 14.6. Dajuan Wagner will end up leading all rookies in scoring, mainly because he's the primary offensive player in Cleveland. Ricky Davis is nice, but Wagner is the man there.
