Uh, I never said you didn't. I was just questioning whether you did. Never stating you didn't, because I honestly don't know whether you do watch b-ball games or not. Shaq missing 4 dunks in a row, well it depends on the situation, IMHO. By the way, if you caught some games featuring some pretty tired teams or some pretty bad teams, you'd see plenty of wide open missed layups and quite a few missed dunks. It's just the nature of the game, IMHO. The better finishers will naturally miss fewer layups and dunks, but they still miss them. Besides, if the number of missed dunks/layups is not to your liking you can always adjust that. Dunking in traffic and laying the ball up in traffic should cause you to miss quite a few though. If a team has gone really cold, that means that they might not even hit a single layup. ID 2003 has this too, and I think it's right how they did this.

Oh ok, just used to the people on gamers. Well I dont really mind missed dunks in traffic, but on a breakaway, thats another story. If they would have fixed that and the Force Field D, I would be playing 2k3 all the time. But it still is an awesome game.

If I were in charge of ID 2004 I'd would do the following
-make the graphics look like 2k3
-make the crowd react to plays on the court
      -add more deke moves
      -make it online
      -add a 1 on 1 or 3 on 3 option
      -do not change the ai

Do you watch b-ball games? Because I've seen plenty of blown layups and quite a few blown dunks. Especially if a team's fatigued and has played the previous night. NBA 2k3 is fine in this area, IMHO. And so is ID 2003. They both have this right as far as I'm concerned.

i agree. i solved this by using my timeouts to stop momentum and give my guys a rest. ppl don't realize that's what TO's are for....
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

Actually breakaway dunks have been missed in NBA games too. I know Latrell Sprewell missed a couple. Jordan's missed a few. So has Kobe, I'm sure. Everyone misses a few breakaway dunks now and then. It doesn't happen too often, but it's not exactly a freakish thing. It happens. I haven't experienced too many missed breakaway dunks in my games though. A couple here and there are pretty reasonable, at least as far as I'm concerned. The game has deeper problems than that though, and no matter what adjustments you make, the flaws are extremely visible and keep this game from truly being a good sim of basketball. Hopefully NBA 2k4 gets it right, but that was what I was hoping would be the case for NBA 2k3.

Sure, the missed easy shots bother me sometimes, but if they would fix the D, then NBA 2k4 will be my favorite basketball game of all-time.

first of all i would fix franchise mode by having teams fire their coaches and agnoliging the coaches like 2k2 does. then i would have a career mode where you make up your player and then go in and out the nba like the farm system in baseball. nba shootout 2003 has this but it sucks. if 2k4 had it it would be great. also i would take the lock a player option like live has. so you can just control one player the created player. and the coach will take you out when he wants and you would watch off the bench then i would have the media cirleing the career player and i would tell them things with the keyboard for ps2 and it will be like the real nba.
