I hear ya on that one. It's a 7 game series so there's more games to play. I have nothing against the way the Lakers have been playing, they've surprised me. But the thing with me is some of the calls LATE in the game that are momentum killers. Whether you deny it or not, the dunk on Nash with the BLOCK call was devastating and the 2 techs called there... its all about momentum in the playoffs and the refs are taking that away.

And when that happens, I can understand complaining. I doubt you see me do it personally, but I can understand when the refs make a difference in the outcome of the game.

IMO, that wasnt the case tonight and DEFINATELY those two techs that resulted in one point didnt decide the outcome.

BTW, Im not sure Memphis can score 96 points, but we will see. Dallas probably has the easiest team to face in the WC int he 1st round. Amazing.

last game it seemed like the bowling ball move of kwame brown and this game was the tim thomas/brian cook bump out of bounds.

just brutual and critical calls imo

refs have been bad the whole playoffs really, during the season everyone complained about refs at some point and its coming to a head in the postseason.. Great win for the lakers though.. who couldve predicted the lakers would dominate the game the way they did. You're not going to run away from the suns, but the lakers had an answer everytime...

          how about the kwame chants

This was stressed a few years ago, but it gets forgotten. Whenever the Lakers win, we have this contingent of anti laker fans who blame the refs. The point is, only losers make those kind of excuses. In the end, the better team will win the four games. Not the refs, not any other excuse or tools of incompetence that are used by those accepting losses. In game one, there were some questionable calls against the Lakers, if the Lakers lose this series I wont say it was because of that game one officiating. I can understand being caught up in the moment, but come the frig on. This is the playoffs, we are watching one of the best first round series ever.

man, its the same way when the lakers lose.. its always blame. dont put yourself on a pedistole above everyone else. you guys seem just as bad. of course right now, you have this open happy feeling. that seems to change in the heat of battle and your team doesnt get a call.

Well take it how you want it. We all know when there's some calls that don't go your teams way.. your going to complain either way, if not.. your lying. This has been a great series and I can't wait to see the outcome.

That's BS. My best friend is a Suns fan and he said Game ONE was the worst reffed game, in the Suns, favor, he's seen for quite some time.

It goes both ways..... the Suns expect to get calls, it's how they play. Nash flops around like a fish all the time and throws himself around like a pinata. Same with everybody else on the team. Like Marion initiating contact tonight and then throwing up a shot 3 feet short....

The Lakers have flat out owned this series. If not for an extraordinary ONE quarter of Game ONE, the series would be 3-0. The Lakers are the better team... sorry. It's just as Laker fans have seen in the past 20 games... this team trusts each other, plays together, and EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE is involved.

LA still would have the ball with a 5 point lead.

PHX's style allows momnetum to shift all the time. That call, IMO, didnt make a difference.

And NO I don't blame the refs for game one. It's how it goes. Good and bad and you move on.

It shouldnt even be ALLOWED to matter, that's the thing. It can come down to it mattering, and when that happens, that's ridiculous. And you're just picking at straws with your "Memphis wont score 96 points anyway" stuff. Sarcasm, I know, but still.

how about all the extraordinary qrts for LA.. the untypical defensive series, or the tough shots made other than by kobe. it goes both ways could very well be 2-1 in the suns favor,

I like your points but to say game 1 was the worst of all games is ridiculous. Like Ive been saying, I'm not faulting the Lakers, they've been playing out of this world and have surprised the hell out of me.
