    Is the NBA coming back?

So Far these playoffs may be the most exciting I've seen in a long time. Not only is there plenty of excitement and controversy, but they have been aesthectically pleasing as well. You got players making great defensive plays, smart offensive plays, made jumpers, good passing and ball rotation, etc.

I find myself watching whole games for the first time in a long time and the stars aren't disappointing me either. Guys like Vince, JO, Kobe, Lebron, Arenas, Wade, Brand, Melo, Gordon, and Dirk are playing good TEAM basketball. You can tell they really want it and they want there team to advance.

The league may turn a corner if the playoffs continue to be this good.
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."

i see the pistons/spurs rematch in the finals.. which to me is really boring. nothing against those teams.. they are the class of the nba right now, but i can't get myself to sit down and watch an entire game between those two.

      Coming back? No

Be honest, most of the series of this 1st round is not that watchable. You can already predict who will win it. Not even close to being as exciting

I watched it more this year than any of the previous 3 or 4 years and now I remember why I stopped.

The NBA playoffs are always exciting. The regular season is always boring to me.

With this new breed of superstars emerging (Lebron, Carmelo, STAT, Dwade, Dwight, Paul, Bosh, etc.) and NBA could very well be coming back. I mean look how good these guys are and look how young they are.

I guarentee that the Mavs will beat the Spurs. Not sure who wins LAC-DAL in the WC-Finals, but I like our chances.

People predicted the Spurs to win - Sac's been the better team in 2 of 3.
People predicted the Suns to win - They could easily go down 1-3 tom.

Which, IMO, has little to do with the true quality of play. The NFL's quality of play in the postseason has been so aesthetically bad but they get great ratings. The NBA probaly won't have the Kobe's or LEbron's deep in the playoffs so it will hurt the numbers. But still good basketball is being played.

If the NBA focus on hardcore fans and consistency in officiating, then it'll be back in fine form. There's a reason why everyone's impressed with the way the NHL runs post lockout. For that matter the NBA should follow suit.

To whomever said that this year's playoffs are the best due to "controversy", that will drive the casual fan away, not make them come back.

                              controversy?

Id say the close 1st round series is IT.
