Seriously!!!! I'm watching the game now, and all I've heard Bill say is "Yao Ming will change the way we view the game" "Yao Ming is so far ahead of other players" "Yao Ming is going to revolutionize the game" "Yao Ming is the greatest, blah blah blah." It got so bad I went back to watch more of a one legged Byron Leftwich destroy Louisville on the Deuce. I could literally not take anymore. He was out of control tonight!!!

He's his secret agent and probably admirer too. Anyways the guy likes Yao, and yes he does talk about him too much sometimes. I don't mind though, I like Yao.

Face it, Nessler and Walton is one of the best NBA announcing pairs. I think Walton is great, he tells the game like it is, and he knows the game. Newsflash, Yao is good, I think it's ok to marvel at his talent, you name the last 7'6 player that plays the game like he does. Bill Walton sees it, and so do many other people, including players, coaches, etc. I haven't heard anyone say exactly why Bill is so bad, so he likes how a guy plays, but when a guy messes up he says bad stuff, its not like he jocks every player. He dissed Eddie Griffin and Maurice Taylor the whole damn game, and wanted Cuttino Mobley to come out of the game, he comments on everyone, good and bad, and its all well deserved, he doesn't single anyone out. Great announcer, period.

And Dick Vitale is good too for those of you that don't like him.

Yea man, Walton is a suckass. He does ride on the guy whos scoring at the time. He tries to coach the game, but he always nuthuggs on 1 particular player per game. I like Yao, but I hate Walton. If Yao was having a bad game I bet he would be riding someone elses jock. Thats just the way he commentates, he sucks the hot players ****, and ribs everyone else. Bastatrd.

He's a Contridicting POS, in my opinion.

Watch a lakers game. Maybe from 3, 2, or even last year, and you'll notice he rides "the balls", as some like to call it, of the players that are performing at the time. If fox is doing good, he'll ride up ON him. 2 minutes later, he'll be after a new guy.

Walton may have said some "bad things", as arena calls it, about a certain player, but 3 minutes later it seems like he forgets what he just stated, and starts riding UP on that player again. He doesn't stick by anything that he says for longer than a minute. I assume he has ADD." He forgets what he says."

In my opinion, He is the definition of a Bandwagon "fan".

You can't get closer to the truth He's that type of guy.

i'm glad other people see how Walton is. do any of you Shaq fans remember how he dogged Shaq the first 4 or 5 years that he was in the league? it's only been the last 3 years that Walton has been riding him.

I personally like Yao and think a lot of his game, but I seriously had to mute the TV, cause I couldn't stand another minute of having to listen to Bill Walton! I mean, OK, Yao is good, we all see that... (We're WATCHING the game, Bill... we see...) But to have to hear it every time down the floor, yeesh!

First, Walton was one of the greatest players in basketball history, so he can talk the talk as much as he wants.

Second, Walton sees a lot of himself in Yao, I think. A guy who plays a complete game -- passing, defense, outside touch, post moves. I think Walton rode Shaq mercilessly -- and justifiably so -- during the early part of Shaq's career because Shaq was so one-dimensional. Walton hates that, and so do I.

Sure, Walton's delivery can be annoying, and he's a bit melodramatic most of the time. But at least the man states an opinion, unlike most courtside analysts. Plus the guy is an all-time great, so he knows what the hell he's talking about.

Sadly, many young people these days remember Walton as nothing but a sixth man with bad feet for the Celtics in the 1980s. Grab some video of his college days with UCLA or early years with the Blazers, and you'll see how good this guy was.
