people take the regular season too seriously, they'll be in the playoffs and they'll dominate. So they are taking a break from winning, who cares, enjoy all the other teams wins for now, but come playoff time it's a different story.

btw i don't like the lakers.

Well they ain't doin to well right now, we'll just have to see in April. I guess right now LA fans just have to root for tha Clippers.

This is a terrible attitude, and the one the Lakers have right now. Anyone who knows the game of basketball, has played the game of basketball is that you can't just show up to play when you feel like it. During the regular season, punishing teams, sends a message. And having a good record gives you a good seed, home advantage, and a easier path to the finals. They are 10-17 right now, 1/2 game out of last place, don't tell me about how they're gona dominate the playoffs when they need to get in gear just to try and make the playoffs. Idiotic statement.

I don't care what happens to them (Lakers)...I'll always stick with them through thick and thin. They're doing horrible at the moment, but who cares? If they don't make it to the playoffs, why do the fans have to pissed off? Lakers will be pissed off after embarassing theirselves in front of their fans. But they will make the playoffs...I still have faith in LA. I still believe they will make the playoffs and win their 4th title...but I'm not going to whine and ***** about it. I dunno what the hell they're trying to do...but it can't go that much longer. They'll be back in LA form soon enough...right now they're playing like the...well I can't even compare them to anyone. They're doing worst than everyone in the league. Anyway, Lakers will make the playoffs...I'm sure they will make it. I'm not going to complain anymore...and nobody should either. Why should we get pissed off? LA fans: don't worry...they'll be back...but until then, don't stress about LA. Let them deal with their problems and just sit back and relax...they'll be in the playoffs...

Well, BZ, I hope so. I still think they can make the playoffs, but they need to get of their butts and start winning some games.I still have faith that they can win their fourth title, but in order to do that, they need to get things together and start playing like champions.

Man no one said stop cheering for the Lakers, don't go to games, etc. But the sit back and relax attitude is what they have now, and what the Rams had when they started 0-5. Now you know how their season is gona turn out, and I just don't want to see the Lakers watching the games on TV when they could be out there defending their title. I think you guys are missing the picture. They can't afford to keep losing, teams that they would normally be in front of, they have to get back ahead of, and Sacramento and Dallas are on fire, and my pick this second to be in the Western Conf. Finals. I'm not convinced the team I watched tonight could make the playoffs, and if they did, they wouldn't be in there long. You and I know last year the Nets shouldn't even have been on the court with the Lakers. Tonight the Nets are out there, throwin alleyoops, back behind the passes, tip dunking, laughing on the court (stuff they've done to everyone), and that's just not acceptable. You heard Magic talk tonight, and his words were far from sit back and relax. There's no reason the 3 time defending champs should be a 1/2 game out of last place in the Pacific Division, let's not make excuses. Let's get some guys in there that want to play, can accept a role and do everything they can to fill that role. These guys out there now are not hungry, they're just not, and if you watched 3 mins of a game you will see that. The turning point of the season should have been that comeback against Dallas, but damn, if you can't wake up after that game, what's it gona take??? I have an idea, instead of watching their game footage or whatever they do, let's send them some game tapes of Sacramento, Dallas, Indiana, and some of the better teams around the league who are all NOT scared of the mighty Lakers anymore.

I didn't say that the Lakers attitude should be to sit back and relax...the fans need to sit back and relax. The Lakers need to get up off their ***** and start playing Laker basketball. What I'm saying is that the fans should stop complaining. At home games, it looks like the fans might have to boo LA just to get them to notice that they're pissing us off...honestly, I wish I knew what LA was doing...but I have no clue. I dunno if this is all some type of mastermind plan or what, but after their recent losses, I'm just going to sit back and relax. If they lose, they lose. I have more important things in my life to worry about than the Lakers losing...

This is not just something that's gona magically happen, it's going to take some moves being made to get this thing done.
The Lakers are NOT a talented team, which is normally not a problem if you can play like a team, and they aren't doing that right now. Talent for talent they are not there with Sacramento, Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, San Antonio, and many other teams in the league. When they play these teams they have to play as a team in that the Kobe and Shaq have to do lead them, and everyone else has to contribute in their own way, and that's NOT happening right now. Even the Clippers are in front of the Lakers right now, and none of the teams in front of them are just gona lay down and stop playing so the Lakers can climb back up to the top. Every night is gona be a battle, every night a team is go out there and play the Lakers just like they're any other NBA team and not just the Lakers. The fear factor is gone. FACT: The Kings lost to the Lakers last year because they didn't really believe they could beat the Lakers. Period. You think they're scared this year?? Shaq has hurt this team by chillin all summer and then deciding hey let me go get surgery. Kobe wants to do too much and is not happy with the triangle offense even though its helped them win 3 titles, and the role players have to wake up every morning and read some more crap about their play from Shaq and Kobe. This team is in trouble, BIG trouble, and this is not the situation any 3 time defending champion should be in. For all those out there that love to compare Kobe and MJ, you think MJ would have had his team in this kind of position right now? Hell no, they dominated from the first jumpball to the last jumpball, and that's not happening right now in Los Angeles, for the damn Lakers, Clippers, and Steve Lavin needs to stop piling mousse in his hair for 5 minutes and try to figure out what the hell is wrong with his Bruins.

I'm taking exactly the same approach as you, earlier in the season i was sweating over every loss. Now i'm at the point where i just laugh it off. It;s crazy, they are literally playing like the worst team in the NBA right now. Who knows what's going on? So I'm just gonna sit back, watch and enjoy the ride. Whatever happens will happen.

My prediction: Lakers beat Kings on Christmas Day, and get back to their winning ways. Probably sounds dumb, but I just have a feeling LA's waiting for the right moment...I just have this strange feeling that they are messing with everyone's minds and they're going to beat Sacramento and then get back to their winning ways...alright, so maybe it won't happen, but hey, ya never know? Anyway, madskillz, I'm glad to see you're approaching this like me...I'm not going to worry about the Lakers right now...they're going to be just fine...man, I can't wait to see what everyone will say if Lakers go on to win their 4th straight championship...everyone talking about how they suck, how bad they are, how they won't make the playoffs, and some to who even say LA's doing this to get LeBron James...if they win, wel, I can't wait. But until then...just sit back and enjoy the ride...

Right now the Lakers need to make a ,ot of changes becuase their team seems to be weak. Maybe a couple of trades will help out because they need more talent not old players that are about to retire. I think they really to play Kareem Rush because he is a good scorer.
