Re: Larry Brown is officially out in New York
Maybe, just maybe, we can have the same starting 5 play, i dunno, 2 games in a row with each other.
I'm glad Larry's gone. Good riddance. This team is going to suck BUT at least they'll have some life to them.
Larry Brown was a freaking joke. When you're trying to win games, some of the things he did night in and night out was ridiculous.
-starting a player (even if it was the 12th man) on road games if that was his hometown. WTF????????????????? Who does thatnonsense? He did that all the damn time.
-way too critical of the rookies and younger players after every post game to the media.
-trading Trevor Ariza for Steve Francis. Let's get this one straight. Larry wanted Francis, not Isaiah. And when he got him, he didn't use him or he brought him off the bench.
-substitution patterns. It was a toss up. If Curry got 2 early fouls in the 1st, he'd sit him out until the 3rd Quarter. Played with his head too much.
-energy. He would criticize Nate Robinson for being too flashy. The kid is not Eric Snow. That's just not his demeanor. If he needs to pop his collar to get himself going and get the crowd into it, let him do it.
I could go on and on. I love what Larry was able to get out of Jamal Crawford. And that's about it.
Isaiah thinks he's Pat Riley. He saw what Riles did stepping out of the GMs position and down onto the floor and he thinks he can do it too. He's dead wrong. Won't be long before he gets canned too.
But I'd rather watch him coach the Knicks than Larry Brown.Comment
