Re: ABC\'s Broadcast, yea or nay??
I agree, plus the commentary sux. There's no energy. NAY!" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "

Re: ABC\'s Broadcast, yea or nay??
I assume you guys are not old enough to remember ABC when they use too televise NBA games. I started watching NBA games in 1971 with my dad, I was 8 years old. The best network to televised NBA games IMO was CBS. Man they were good. Those Laker vs Celtics game on CBS were live. I miss NBC coverage they were good too.Comment

ABC, NBC< TNT, whats the damn difference. I don't listen to many of the commentators views and they don't drag me down.
I come to watch the game.Comment

I'd wish ABC would have hired Steve "Snapper" Jones I loved it when he'd use to refute Bill Walton!!Comment

Re: ABC\'s Broadcast, yea or nay??
It is dry......but I just couldn't stand NBC the last few years (ok fine, following the breaking up of the Bulls). But I've come to hate hearing Snapper, Walton, Costas (who seemed to over-dramatize everything), and even Marv Albert.
Brent Musberger is a great commentator; he's been broadcasting for decades now. The ABC broadcasts are boring now...but remember, we're not even halfway through the season, so expect the enthusiasm to pick up come playoff time...Comment

Re: ABC\'s Broadcast, yea or nay??
I hope it picks up. Yes those CBS telecasts were great in the 80s. I liked the combo of Alberts, Walton, and Jones. They made the games fun and enjoyable to watch, especially if you weren't interested in either team.
Just because sometimes they say stupid stuff doesn't make them a bad broadcast team. Now ABC, just seems like I'm watching one of those local-access games that come on sometimes. The game is fun to watch, but the presentation doesn't appeal to me at all.Comment

Re: ABC\'s Broadcast, yea or nay??
I will say one thing about ABC their intro to the Lakers game with Eminem in the Background got me hype. As they showed all the bad blood and comments made about each other and Em playing in the background it was like a Heavy weight fight was about to start. Then when Rick Fox refused to shake Vlade Divacs hand before the tip and then Vlade started jawing at him I thought a fight would break out at the tip off. This is starting to become my most favorite rivalry off all time. As for the commentators Bill "I swing from any and everyones nuts" Walton I love to hate him so I have become used to listenng to him just so I can get pissed but I sure do miss Snapper Jones, not just cause he would always argue with Walton but I mean the guys nick name is Snapper who doesn't couldn't love a guy with a nick name like that.Comment

NBC for sure.. abc seems a bit odd!
Maybe I was used to NBC, theme/ and broadcast..
abc probably is just way to new for most of us... until they begin to separate themselves and get their own identity.Comment
