I think it will take awhile to get used to this. I really can't stand that irritating intro song.

Re: ABC\'s Broadcast, yea or nay??
I think what made NBC's broadcast so special is that they made the game seem like THE game of the week. You would have the long intro and then the theme song would play. After the theme was over you would get this panoramic view of the city they were in and then a panning view of the arena while the overlay came on the screen. It just gave the image that this game was special and you need to watch.Comment

Re: ABC\'s Broadcast, yea or nay??
I really dont care, as long as I got to see some bball. ABC,NBC,CBS<TNT<ESPN,FOXSPORTS. I could give less than a fluck.
But IMO, the best telecast to watch this year is the Dallas Mavs at home. They give you a great close of view of the court and the energy is amazing.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

FSquid is right, NBA on NBC really just set the mood, it was great.
ABC's music sucks ***, they need to change that....same with TNT's ugh, sounds like college bball, doesnt get me hyped one bit.Comment

The network makes a differents IMO. Fox would kick butt if that had the NBA. I love their NASCAR and NFL coverage.Comment

I agree, Fox knows what to do with their sports........give them handball and they'll make it great.

I don't know where you live, but I recall seeing the end of the game, when Sam Perkins hit that 3-ptr at the end, then MJ's last-second jumper rattled in and out........bummer at timeComment

Re: ABC\'s Broadcast, yea or nay??
well, it was abc's first broadcast, and i think it showed. but i think i'll always miss nbc.
the john tesh theme, yeah, it rocked. brent musberger puts me to sleep. brad nessler is as anonymous sounding as just about every sportscaster. i wasn't a HUGE fan of marv, but hey, he had style.
my favorite parts were the halftime and pregame sections, done at the outside of the staple center with all the screaming fans. guess they weren't thinking.

Re: ABC\'s Broadcast, yea or nay??
I think NBC's presentation and style were a little better than what i saw on ABC. But it was the first show so you never know. Side Note: ESPN needs to fire Tim Hardaway and Tom Tolbert, they DRIVE ME NUTS!!! Besides, ESPN hires a lot of guys that didn't do so well in pro sports when the played like Tolbert and Trev Alberts and such so what makes you think they'll be good commentators if they aren't even good at their own sport?!Comment

Re: ABC\'s Broadcast, yea or nay??
Well ABC's overnight ratings were higher than NBC's last year for xmas day games. Of course, the matchups were better, (remember RAptors-Knicks last year) Did ABC and ESPN outbid NBC by that much to get this? I can't remember.Comment
