The fact that they were there was wrong.

Stephen Jackson's actions after being hit by a car intentionally may or may not have been justified.

Reggie Miller, saying Jackson's teammates shouldn't support him, is WRONG.

And if he were on the team, he'd support him, but now he's got this holier than thou attitude since leaving the NBA.

LOL, Stephen Jax has a rep now. He shouldn't have been shooting guns at people, let alone being out that late on a work night under contract.

This is similar to Kobe. On your own personal time its fine, but when your personal life begins to affect the organization, then it becomes an issue

If I was a NBA player there is no way I hang out at strip clubs at 3 in the morning!

You're supposed to be at the strip joint at 3 AM!!! That's what it's there for...late night/early morn entertainment! Same thing with the clubs.

The difference is you're supposed to be in "I'm here to have fun and chill" mode. Not in "Look at me, come pick a fight with me, roll me over with a car so I can pop off some slugs" mode. That's the problem with alot of these sports athletes. They don't know how to handle outside life after being couped up in their mansions with the pool with the jacuzzi on the side with naked whores running around all day.

Now I agree with Miller somewhat. Jackson didn't honor his "soul-searching" promise and you have to make an effort to show your teammates you're on the right path. That includes not being out all night with strippers. I know that's not easy, but at least do it for a little while. But I also disagree with Reggie because I don't have a problem with his teammates having his back, especially after getting ran over by a car by some half-witted haters.

Reg is wrong on this one. Last time I checked it was not illegal for a GROWN MAN to be out enjoying himself at 3am. However since Stephen is a NBA player he needs to be home by 9pm, tucked in and ready to go beddy-bye? Come on now. The guy was assualted and almost run over by a car! What was he supposed to do? How did he not know that the people were not going to come back? How did he not know if there were not others who were going to try and jump him? Stephen used the gun as a deterrent, against anyone else who may or may not have had thoughts of joining in.

Call me crazy, but I think someone trying to run over me with a car is an attempt on my life. If you threaten my life I'm going to defend it. In Jax's case he heat so he used it and squeezed off some slugs in the air.

The key is when Jackson surrounds himself with people that want to bring him down. As an NBA player, he owes it to himself and to the team to not hang around these types of people.

If I was an NBA player, I would have as good a time as I could without hanging around people that bring me down. That's where Jackson needs to draw the line, if not for the Pacers' organization he represents, then for himself.

Reggie was probably knocking him being at these types of places in the first place, not him firing a shot in self defense. Now if Reggie was knocking him for firing the shot........

Good point on surrounding yourself with positive people, but wasn't Jax with is some of his teamates at the strip club?

Remember the Gold Club scandal a few years ago that involved some NBA players? Well Ol' Reggie was one of the players that was one of the club's frequent visitors. I guess he got his freak on before 3am..LOL!!

Now tell me how the Gold Club affected the Pacers organization?

Don't bring up some old garbage trying to justify a guy shooting a gun at someone on a work night.

Reggie has done far more for that organization than any other player on that team. At least he cares. It becomes a thing when you start pulling things around you down. You've gone too far.

I have no idea how it effected the organization as I'm not a fan or an exec. My point was how can Reggie point the at Stephen for being bring being out and about when he was probably doing the same thing. Was Reggie at the Gold Club on a work night?

Yet you comment on his situation?

Give me a break. Difference is, that was Reggie's personal life and it stayed that way.

This go around AGAIN might I add, is that this is Jax's personal life affecting the organization. That's where you have a problem. You can't blame Artest, or JO, he's the lone ranger here continuing the Pacers problems.

Man I disagree with Reggie on this. Yes guys should stay out of trouble, but I'll be damned if my boss tells me I can't go out at night and stay out however long I want, and what places I can go. S Jax is a grown man, he can go to the club if he wants. He just needs to learn how to keep his nose clean. You can go out without causing a bunch of drama.

And yes Reggie did take his skinny behind to the Gold Club, he shouldn't be saying anything, he just tryin to look good, but he was out, he didnt shoot at anyone but he did go out late to places like that. I'm sure a bunch of other players do to.

Staying out is one thing, staying out and causing the organization more issues is another.

You can disagree with that all day long, but for his teammates to support him with the trouble he caused don't care for him.

No matter who you are, if you have a friend who wont tell you the truth, especially when you are heading down a destructive path, they dont care about you.
