I think they are really doing a great job with them. I don't condone arguing with the officials. They are out there to keep the game fair(supposedly lol). Do you think the officials are abusing the "zero tolerance" or not?

I don't condone arguing with the officials too much either, but at the same time, I don't like seeing players getting ejected for it. I think things will balance out as the season progresses, but the last thing I want to see is the refs have an even bigger impact on the game than they already had.

But thats the whole idea. Im glad theyve gone this route. The ridiculous displays of exasperation have gotten way out of hand and Im glad something is being done. The season is 82 games so by the end of the season they really dont have any excuses for getting ejections for this.

I like it and those that usually are the ones that do all the "look at me ****" have adjusted except for 1 or 2.

I love this new rule. By the end of the season, heck, even by the end of the month, everyone's going to be quiet and just focus on basketball after the first one or two technicals they get.

I bet this also trickles down to our youth. Whenever kids see Wade, Kobe, TMac and Lebron just playing ball and not complaining every other offensive trip down court, they'll be less likely to do it when they play.

I don't recall the players of the 70's and 80's(yes, I go back that far) showing displeasure. It get's tiring seeing million $ players whining constantly doing their job.

Emotion is part of basketball and alot of players react so quickly when there's a questionable call.

I basically agree w. what Kenny Smith said last night on TNT, the analogy about comparing it to spilling a glass of water.

Yeah, I agree emotion is a part of basketball, but the players who are the consistant whiners will need to channel their emotions on questionable calls just like the players did in the past.

You didnt watch many Celtics games in the 80's then. Mchale, Bird and Ainge were constantly complaining and showing up refs.

What about the folks paying 2500 to see these players and they get tossed for arguing a foul call.


A tech is one thing, like it used to be when Magic and Rodman head butted a ref, but arguing a call?

Its funny in my fantasy league we have a Technical foul category. The guy who has Rasheed is gonna lose that category every week! Its now a competitive category with techs called left and right.

The refs are too happy to dish out Ts now. They're flying around all over the place.

I don't mind the ejections but flopping is getting out of hand.

If he NBA is going to take a stand on the so called "antics" then why not crack down on flopping. Inspire players to play good solid D. I rather see more no-calls, especially when players are standing near the free throw line trying to take charges.

The block/charge calls are really slowing the game down to a crawl.

I also like that the NBA has cracked down on palming/carrying the ball.

NHL players get penalties for diving!! NBA players should get a tech for flopping..
