    Biggest underachiever in the NBA?

...whether its being underutilize/misused or a lack of effort by the player. Who is the biggest underachiever in the NBA?

For me, one guy who I thought has been and still is a major underachiever is Stromile Swift. With the type of length, athleticism, and already decent shotblocking ability, Swift could be a really good player on both ends of the floor. I believe if he had the work ethic and dedication to develop his offensive skills -- like his teammate Hakim Warrick is showing now -- and hustle and pay attention to detail on the defensive end, Swift would likely be an all-star player by now.

      Kwame Brown/Michael Olowokandi/Eddy Curry

Any of the big guys that should be able to take over and dominate a game based purely on size, but for whatever reason chooses not to do it.

          Tyson Chandler.

Never worked on his offense and subpar on the defensive end. Got toned up but didnt get bigger or stronger.

First guy i thought of when i read the title of the thread, but the others that have been mentioned are all good examples(although, i do expect Chandler to find his niche as a defender and rebounder).

Used to be my favorite player on the Clippers, but it has to be him.

Behind Shaq, he should be the most dominant true Center in the league.

Unfortunately, the man is a marshmallow.

Darius Miles has been pulling that act the longest... man he shouldve been near all star caliber for like the last 4 years..

At least D-Miles has put up numbers in a couple of seasons. That doesn't mean he hasn't been an underchiever though. Some other high profile picks have never put up decent stats.

I knew he was going to be a bust from the day he got drafted... scratch that... from when he graduated. I never saw anything special in his game, so the Warriors may think he's an underachiever, but I expected all of this.

Biggest Underachiever: Stromile Swift... mainly because he is so damn overrated.

Eddy Curry has the talent to flat out DOMINATE and score 28+ a nice. Instead.... well........
