Sorry but the baseball analogies don't work in the nba forums.

I already said it was a nice block if you went back and read my other posts Jets.

I also said it means nothing in a loss... am I lying?

Can we please keep the thread on Nate and the Knicks. You're free to start a Tmac thread if you wish

Yes, on your 5th or so post in this thread, you conceded it was a nice play, after 4 posts of criticizing people who enjoyed watching the play.

I also said it means nothing in a loss... am I lying?

I guess. Don't know why anyone who isn't a Knicks fan would care if they lost or not though. If the Knicks had won by 15 points, it also would mean nothing. Knicks lose almost every day, rarely does one of the shortest guys in the league block the tallest guy in the league. I don't see the problem with people wanting to watch it.

If you're right in this thread, you're wrong.

2 shots and the ball on the side for talking about Tmac.

I cant wait until Nasty Niggity Nate dunks on Yao or Ben Wallace...if he does, it isnt news.

I gave Nate his props for the block. I didn't criticize anyone for enjoying it, its just a note that it was more important to them than the win. If you had read the first post about it in the other Knicks thread, bigeast said the Garden was going nuts. Now I said thats embarrassing because thats the only thing they have to cheer for so they lose it even in a loss?

I understand. It was a highlight. Not taking anything from Nate's effort. I conceded even that the foul wasn't going to be called on him even though he did foul Yao. Im just pointing out things others aren't. It seems to me people put more importance now on things as such instead of winning.

It was a cool highlight, but Nate went home a loser.

I dont see Lakers fans starting threads when Smush Parker just dunked on him, and the Lakers even won that game.

Um is it because Smush has done that before to others? How rare is it that we see a 5'9" guy block a 8' guy shot?

                    Because its Smush? ....K

Well, Im sure Yao has been blocked by a shorter person who didn't actually foul him, and I'm also certain Ewing was blocked by Mugsy Bogues.

No it doesn't happen often, yes it was a nice timed jump and block. It was a foul and a no call as well.

It was also funny that Knicks fans would go nuts and go "ah man look at that little Nate. He lost but he sure did block that big ole Yao!" when they left MSG losing again. But I understand they are impressed and take what they can get.

Again, Im not down on Nate. The current state of mind in our era of basketball is disturbing.

At the time of the block, the garden went nuts. Was the crowd supposed to know they were going to lose and not cheer? It was a 5 point game at the time, Knicks made a good play, fans cheered. I don't see what is wrong with that.

If after the game the crowd stood up and gave a loud standing ovation as Nate walked off the court, and if people were on here claiming the Knicks were a great team because Nate blocked Yao, you would have a point. But that didn't happen.

The play was cool for what it was... but I all in all we all know Yao has the jumping ability of a toddler and Nate has jets up his arse soooooo.... It would eventually happen. I would be more impressed if he got a real leaper with some height... Like Lebron or Amare before the injury.

But hey its cool to see but its not that big of a deal.

Nice to see somebody notices Smush, for once. Anyway, I thought it was a great play by Nate. He did poke Yao in the eye, but the ref was probably to amazed at the jumping ability to take any notice. Anyway, it provided some good discussion. To me, it doesn't matter if they won or not, you can't take an amazing play from somebody just because they lost the game. The Knicks lost the game, but little Nate STILL had a monster block.

P.S. not to start any controversy "K", but I'm sure Yao has NEVER been blocked by someone shorter than Nate.
