Re: Slam dunk competitors officially announced

I don't know why people compare Amare to Kemp, Kemp was a MUCH better and more explosive dunker. Amare is good and all but comparing his dunking and leaping ability is just dumb. Mason is a natural dunker. Infact when he's dunking in games he does better dunks then what people have seen in the contest. Ricky Davis and Mason IMO are the best in game dunkers other then VC. Theres times when mason should get the top 3 dunks of the night.

I think it'll still be wack. I may watch if nothing else is on, but my attention will still be for Two-ball and the Three Point Shootout.

Okay that's BS. Maybe touch the top of the square above the rim but NO WAY could anyone touch the top of the backboard, that's like 15 feet in the air. That's urban legend playground type stuff.

I was exaggerating... he didn't GRAB the top of the backboard. But his palm was well past the top of the square.

And why would Kobe, Vince or T-Mac be in the dunk contest? What do they have to gain? If they win, they were supposed to win. If they lost, then they'd be humiliated.

WTF? T-Mac and Garnett?? Yeah, they can power dunk, but neither is Slam Dunk champion material, although that material is getting weaker and weaker by the year.

I'm sorry, but what does this have to do with them being good basketball players. Did Dominique. Drexler, Larry Nance,or any other guys status get diminished because Jordan beat them? C'mon man. They could actually make or break the event this time around.
