Philly has been top 3 in highest team salary the past 3 years at least.

Lafrentz was given that huge deal by Mark Cuban when he was handing out hefty deals.

Minny just like Philly made a bunch of bad deals.

Korver is a borderline bargain with his potential. There is a reason why a ton of teams have inquired about trading for him.

That's Knicks thing is just ridiculous on the real. Good find on the real. I can't believe that Steve & Steph are getting that much......ON THE SAME FREAKING TEAM!! Man, not to mention that Curry is getting a nice amount til 2010. Hopefully it'll be worth it for them in the long run. What's the maximum per team each year? Someone break it down for me. Lot of kats getting over paid big time.

When LBJ is at a championship level in a year or two...he's going to be basically stuck with Larry as his "number 2".

MJ had Pip. Shaq and Kobe. Wade and Shaq.

Larry Hughes is a nice player...but he's a long way from "number 2 player on a championship team" type level. His salary isn't.

Korvers deal is bad...but he may one day be a decent 3 point bomber on a play off / championship level team. You can maybe see that role one day...

Dalembert though...wow...just wow.

12 million for a guy who has no post game, will never be an all star, would be like the 3rd choice center on a team like the Spurs / 5 mins a game type guy.

Unbelievable.

next CBA the league needs to cut down guarenteed contracts from 5 and 6 (bird players) to 3 and 4. the grant hill fisaco ruined the orlando franchise back when max contracts went 7 for bird players.

Wow. Crazy salaries, those guys are getting paid more than Nash. Right now the suns stars are Marion is at 15 mil a year, Amare is at around 12 to 13 and Nash is at 10 mil.

next CBA the league needs to cut down guarenteed contracts from 5 and 6 (bird players) to 3 and 4. the grant hill fisaco ruined the orlando franchise back when max contracts went 7 for bird players.

Bron signed a 3 year extension so if he gets tired he can just leave. In this case he thought ahead on CLE, which is why they're going to have make some moves to try to satisfy him in the next couple of seasons.

Good point re the three year deal...LBJ will have the option to look and see how things are.

I think Z's deal ends next year...that may give them some options.
