Jeez it seems like Vince read this thread.

I hate it when he has those moments of greatness. It truly frustrates me that he can be so great then go through long stretches where he's not all that great.

Rumors before the season were that he would likely test the FA market after the year is over, and a likely spot for him is Orlando.

Yeah, with a legit big man to take some of the pressure off of him, they could be a formidable duo.. especially in the east. I'm thinking about starting a 2k franchise, simulate 2007, and go straight into 08 with the Magic and Carter/Howard. How much fun would those guys be?

I'm still pulling for him. Always had. Injuries are nothng to scoff at. Granted, he shouldn't have quite on Toronto, but he's still a great baller no doubt.

Not trying to start a flaming war, but how do you see Vince as quitting the Raptors. He didn't see himself getting a championship there so he left. Same story with alot of NBA All-Stars.

Well thats the thing. All the Raptor fans assume that he is playing as a Net the same way he played in Toronto and thats just not true. He is playing much better.

He hasn't been missing time with injuries, he is putting up big numbers and he picks up his play when key players miss game (Krstic, RJ, etc......).

He is nothing like the Toronto VC.

Exactly Duece... I've followed him forever, and for guys to say he's still the Toronto VC, is quite ignorant. He's been absolutely ballin, especially as of late. If it wasn't for his contract being done after this year, then the Nets wouldn't be shopping him.

And dossier, he did quit on the Raps... he even acknowledged that he quit on them and stopped putting forth any effort. It's not the fact that he left... it's the way he left. Personally, I don't blame him for leaving, but he got a bad name because he quit on them... he played without determination and without heart. I'm one of VC's biggest fans... but even I can admit that he quit on them.

That's a shame then again, looking at it retrospectively I don't blame the man for quiting on the Raps but he really set the organization back a bit.

I disagree, but not in the way you would think I would.

I do blame him for quitting on the Raps. Whether a team sucks or not, a player should never quit on his team, and then to admit it to the media is very unprofessional (Zo, that piece of trash, did the same to the Nets).

But I wouldn't say VC set the Raps back. He put people in the seats, and whoever the Raps GM was set them back because I think they could've gotten ALOT more for VC than they did. Forget about his talent and how he can help a team, the guy attracts tons of fans to games. That alone makes him a hot commodity.

                      Re: Wince Harder

There's a reason why he's on the block. All players don't have that Garnett intensity but consistently mailing it in on defense does not endear him to coaches. Missing last second shots and then laughing about it with the opposition is another not so endearing trait if you want to be serious about winning. Carter's talent with Kidd's intensity would make him the best player in the game because he can play defense when he wants to.

When Vince decides not to smile and actually concentrate on what he's doing he's the hardest player to stop. Unfortunately he only does that half the time (I've seen most of the Nets games this year and it's plainly evident by his demeanor and lack of aggressiveness) so a title won't be coming his way. Players like that do not win titles.

Carter won't be opting out either, he's not giving up 16 million, and the Magic won't be offering that kind of coin to him especially since Howard is in for a big payday and they have to save thier money for him. They'll wait next year and get Carter for less as I 'm sure he'll give them a hometown discount to be near mommy. No one is going to offer a 31 year old 16 million or at least not more than one year.

The Magic have plenty of paper to offer to Vince for next season. Don't forget, he's from Florida, so I'm sure he'd like to play for the Magics.

Seymour, while I do agree about him smiling over last game shots ant whatnot. last night against Detroit, I thought Vince did everything to almost near perfection. He drove to the lane, got to the foul line, made open shots for others, basically gave mikki moore 20 odd points. He did that. He even gave up an almost open three and threw the ball to Kidd who sinked it. He thought. eventhough he didn't make his free throws and missed somelay-ups, he played exactly like he should be
