For all of those who like to stick up for Labron?

I have a question for you, and since many of you give intelligent arguments to your side you'll probably have some good answers. And that's not sarcasm I really think you guys have solid opinions. I don't hate the kid I just think a) he's not too bright about what not to do to stay out of trouble and I don't mean with the law and b) he's too cocky. But that aside I have nothing against him. So here's my question:

You talk so much of Labron being exploited by companies or by those who seek to gain revenue from him going pro. You seem to want to blame Adidas or any other thing that tries to throw something his way rather than Labron. You say it's all about money and he's a HS player so he's not getting paid. Sorry that was the set up so here's the question:

Will Labron not make a (censored)-load of cash from signing with Adidas or another company? Is adidas the sole profiter? Is Labron not going to reap the benefits of these things being thrown his way? And if so, then who gives a flying hummer if they are all up his nuts about it?

Okay that's more like 4 or 5 questions but I wanna hear what you think.

    1. It's LeBron

    2. Yes, he is a *******. Why he could not just wait 3 more months to get his bling-bling on, I'll never know.

Yes LeBron will make a butt load of cash no matter who he signs with. The problem I have is that everyone is jumping on him for the Hummer and the jerseys when they know at the age of 18 they would do the exact same thing. I know I would. I've only seen one interview with LeBron and he doesn't seem cocky to me at all, but then again I've only seen one interview with him. What trouble has he really been in? He got a Hummer for his B-day (which he will end up paying for anyway) and he recieved 2 jerseys for free. He didn't rob nobody, shoot nobody, choke his coach or anything else against the law. The closest he's gotten to breaking the law was that accident and that was borderline.

Nobody is making a big deal about his school pimping him around on ESPN and I can bet you they aren't letting ESPN show his games for free. Or anybody else trying to cash in on LeBron (except his mother, I've seen some posts about people not really liking his mother).

        That's just my 2 cents.

Yes he will get a ton of money. Could he have waited to get the jerseys, sure. Then again athletes all around the nation are given stuff.

I had classes at UC with plenty of football players who never showed up to class yet somehow got Cs and Bs in the classes. Mike Dunleavy Jr said the other day that he got discounts all the time when he playing at Duke. The people who hate on LaBron try to act like he's the only athlete ever to be given stuff. People try to act like he broke the law by saying that "if you rob a bank and give the money back is that ok?" Last I checked he didn't rob the store to get those jerseys. Driving 60 in a 55 is against the law too, but damn near everyone does it.

If you want to talk about committing crimes, lets talk about the college stars who rape and assault women, but since winning is the only thing that matters, they get suspended for a game or two and all is forgiven. Does the name Lawrence Philips ring a bell?

People also try to say that they aren't given throwback jerseys for getting good grades---but how many of you know the store owners?

LeBron isn't the only athlete getting freebies--he's just the biggest name so more people are going to try and bring him down.

I wouldn't have had a problem if he had gotten suspended for the Hummer, but I think that the OHSAA was out to get him because they didn't get him for the Hummer.

Re: For all of those who like to stick up for Labron?

I think the biggest problem people have with LeBron is that he is everywhere. Everyday there is something new about him. And everyday here, there is a new thread on him too. So, I say the only people we have to blame are the people at ESPN, SportsIllustrated, SportingNews, etc. . . But you know what, people still watch and pay money for it, so it's not like there isn't interest.

About him personally, he does seem a bit cocky to me, and not too bright. I've seen a couple of interviews with him and have read a bunch of stuff too (yes, I am interested, so I am one of those that watches and reads stuff about him a lot).

I say, if you don't like him, or are sick of reading and hearing about him, just don't go into any threads where Lebron's name is mentioned, and don't read or watch anything with him on it. That's the easy way to handle this, since he isn't going anywhere.

                My 2 cents.

actually, he reminds me of a young Cassius Clay.....
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

My problem isn't with Addidas or ESPN or anyone like that. I just think that it is very hypocritical to allow his school to play in a larger arena and find avenues to make money off of him, but then to come down on him so heavily for some jerseys. They should have suspended him for a game or two and made him return the jerseys. I live here in Ohio and from everything that I've seen, he seems like a decent kid. Could he have waited? Sure. But why should he have to. The Hummer shouldn't be an issue. If any average basketball player was given a nice car by his parents, there would be no problem.

Why shouldn't Lebron James be cocky? He is the best high school player in the country. Cockiness and greatness go hand and hand....You have to believe you are the best to be the best. Jordan is a cocky s.o.b, but people don't talk as bad about him....Any person that is great in anything is cocky, so why hate or dislike them for it....Bill Gates is cocky....Lexis(sp) Lewis is cocky...G.W. Bush is cocky.. Do you hate all of these people as well? I think you are mixing hate/dislike with jealousy and envy.

And what he "will" make is a mute point....These companies, schools and others are making money off this Kid right now...But at the same time tell him you can take this, but you can't take that....We can fly you around on private jets, but you can't take a jersey from a local store....Which do you think has greater value the jet ride or the jerseys....I can afford to buy the throw backs( but I would not) but I don't think I could raise the funds(convience the wife) for a private jet ride.. But people in thier infinite stupidity will try to make logic out of this double message being sent to this 18 year old kid....
I read poster that say he could have just waited...PLEASE... How many of you waited for you favorite sports games to get to bargin bin prices...Here come the liars(internet saints)

The only thing wrong with what Lebron James did is the rule that says he couldn't...Nothing else

Oh yeah and to those who say they are tire of read/ hearing about him...Don't open a post that has his name in the title...And definitely don't compound your contradiction by post in that thread....I don't Like Danielle Steel, so I don't read her books. I don't even pick them up in the book store to read the back cover...
