Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
How does Chicago overachieve? They have a solid team with a bunch of solid players, besides Lebron there isnt a single player in Cleveland that scares me, and if Lebron wants to float around the perimeter and launch jumpers all game then Im not worried about him either. If any team can be accused of playing above themselves then its Cleveland, having one solid player and a bunch of solid role players doesnt scare me at all.
.
Look at our losses this season and tell me we shouldn't be a 55-60 win team...
Either way, I hope the Pistons do forget were a rebound away from eliminating them last year...without any bench help, Larry Hughes' defense, or Sasha playing at this level.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

The Bulls have a more talented team than the Cavs. To be honest, the Cavs are not even a good team. I've watched the Nets/Cavs series as I am a Nets fan. The Cavs play good defense at times and they definitely are a good rebounding team, but other than that, they aren't anything special.Comment

I was really proud of how the Bulls were able to make a series out of this. I just think to myself how it could have been completely different if the Bulls could have won that 3rd game.
Oh well, all us Bulls fans have got to hope for now is a good draft pick. Can't wait for Tuesday!Originally posted by billmaticRadman is more like the ******** homeless man's version of Okur.Comment

The knock on CLE all year has been lack of consistent energy and their propensity for playing down to their competition. You can't say that about the Bulls. I give Kudos to Skiles because he almost always has those guys playing at a high level of intensity and desire, and for whatever reason, Mike Brown cannot get that out of the LeBron and the Cavs.

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
55-60 win team? Im not even sure how you can say that with a straight face, I mean were talking a low end of 55-26 or 60-21 and thats ludicrous, even in this watered down Eastern Conference. Cleveland cant win on the road, as shown by their 20-21 regular season record on the road, in the playoffs they have gone 3-1 but in all honesty it was against a depleted Washington team and everyone who knows anything knew that Washington was done for once Arenas went down. I respect Cleveland, but they needed some shooters to surround Lebron with and didnt do it, Hughes is not the answer imo.
You do know they won 50 games right?
Here are a few losses...tell me that it's "ludicrous" that they couldn't win 5 of these:
Bobcats...Twice
New York...Twice
Atlanta (at home)
Seattle
Portland
Boston
N.O.
Philly
We couldn't get 5 of those? Yeah, they could have dropped a couple more along the way also...but bottom line, they should not have lost to so many absolute bottom feeders. CHI's only really crappy losses were to the Wolves twice, Sacto, Cats, Grizz, and Knicks. They largely handled their business.
Also, CLE had the 9th best road record in the league, 2nd best in the East. "Cant win on the road" isn't entirely accurate.
Strong at home (only 5 teams had better home record) and .500 on the road is decent, considering we've usually been a terrible away team.Last edited by HMcCoy; 05-18-2007, 12:49 AM.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
And the Pistons lost to...
Milwaukee
Sacramento
New Orleans
Charlotte x2
Portland
Indiana x2
New York
Atlanta
Minnesota
*Philadelphia (starters rested)
So 12 of the Pistons 29 losses were to lottery teams. Damn, this team should've won 60 games easy.
The regular season doesn't mean anything anymore, and you shouldn't be trying to argue that the Cavs should've won 55-60 games. You should be thinking about Game 6 tomorrow, because Cleveland hasn't proven anything yet.Comment

It's cool though...I'm pretty sure we won't see LeBron with only 4 shot attempts midway thorugh the 3rd quarter again. Local speculation is that he's kicking back so his buddy Jigga can rake in a little more playoff revenue.
We'll see how good N.J. is if/when Bron decides to ball for 48 minutes.Last edited by HMcCoy; 05-18-2007, 01:04 AM.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
You're absolutely right. Going from flirting with the win record, to barely edging CLE in the East was a definite step backwards. Looking at the CHI series, and based on your own posts...DET is prone to over-confidence as well. CHI fights harder than both of our squads, and does it on a more consistent basis. Bottom line the Cavs could have been better, and so could the Pistons.

EDIT- Cant forget that Detroit was 21-15 with Webber, which is good but pales when you consider they went 32-14 with him, its safe to say they are not only better then last year when they faced Cleveland but better then they were just at the beginning of this season.Last edited by The Chef; 05-18-2007, 01:49 AM.Comment

When Rasheed got that open look and faded away and hit the shot for a 10 point lead in the final minutes I was jealous.
Well, I'll be rooting for the Suns the rest of the way.Comment
