Stephen jackson is a leader on this team.
17 shots in an uptempo game is not that many at all
the reason why we won game 3 was because j rich and baron scored 57 points between them.
your hate for stephen jackson amazes me, i never really understood how because someoen doesnt act how you want them to, makes them a bad person.
going in to the stands. he was protecting a teammate
the gun charge?, we me you and everyone else outside of jack, and his boys and the courts, have no idea what really happened, so to bring that up is so ridiculous its funny.
imploding in indiana? NOBODY wanted to play there, theres a reason carlisle got fired, jermaine wants out, etc.
instead of being baised and throwing out garbage why dont you just say you dont liek the man, but to **** on the dude and say hes a liability to the warriors is so far from the truth it aint funny.
Like nelly said, id take 10 stephen jacksons on the team, mush better then the cream puffs named troy murphy and mike dunleavy.

First off, I am really glad Jax turned into a leader in GS. Will it last? I dont think that, but that is neither here nor there. He got a million and one chances in Indiana and after all that he still left like the fans were "picking on him" because he continued to make bad decisions.
Running into stands to protect a teammate? Thats a joke. That is what all the fluff pieces in Indiana said at the time, but the truth was jax wanted a fight from the time Ben Wallace pushed Artest. Jax was jumping up and down going all crazy before the brawl ever started. Many Pacers fans said at the time if he had been tossed along with Artest and Wallace right away the brawl would have never happened. I didnt beleive that at the time but looking back maybe thats true.
The gun charge? Its not to hard to find out what happened just by reading the court papers. A fight occured (how, who started it who knows. We know now that Reggie said Jax wasnt the only problem and Tinsley has had other "bar incidents" since Jax left) but we do know for a fact when he was challeged Jax went and got his gun and shot it in the air. You can call it whatever you want to, I just call that wreckless and stupid.
Is Jackson perfect? No. He was willing to suit up and play no matter what and for that I respected him. But please dont try to turn this into a BS "No one wants to play in Indiana argument" That is so overblown and ignorant its not even funny. When the team was winning we had no problem getting people to come and play in Indiana, even with the "cold" weather.
Jackson imploded because he made stupid decision and stupid decision, and the fans got tired of it. Now did the brawl cause the fans to put him on a shorter leash? Maybe. But excuse me if I dont have sympathy for him over that. He made the decision to go in the stands, he helped esculate the brawl by wanting to fight, and many in Indiana thought he should have got the same punishment Artest did (a year). He was not a peacemaker at all so lets not pretend that he was a saint that night in "protecting his teammates"
Oh and all that crap about JO and RC. Thats all is was, crap.
Rick left because he lost the team. Plain and simple. Most NBA coaches have a short lifespan before players tune them out and that is exactly what happened to Rick.
JO. really, JO wanted to leave. I challenge you to find ONE team that will pay him what we are going to pay him in his last yaer of his contract. No team wants a guy that is injury prone, has played in 30% of the games the last 3 seasons and his last great season (the year he finished third for MVP) was more 4 years ago.
I have always said the first year is the honeymoon period after a trade. Artest started showing his true self, for GS fans sake I hope Jackson really has turned a new leaf.

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
Well like I said we arent expecting him to perform like the #3 pick.
I will say the same thing you told me. One mans trash is another mans treasure. I hope you are ok with dealing with the downside of Jackson, if and when it comes out.Comment
