Kobe shooting or not shooting doesn't make up for the overwhelming talent disparity between the Suns and Lakers.

The Suns are simply much better than the Lakers.

I agree, it's more like what happens to the Lakers when they play the Suns.

I agree that all great players demand the ball in impotant situations (sans KG), but I think Dre was saying that no role-player demands the ball in order to get theirs.

It is up to the person with the ball (in this case Kobe) to decide whether to jack up a shot or set up a teammate, and no teammate is going to demand that Kobe pass the ball.

The problem is that Odom should be more than just a role player. Whether it's his fault, Kobe's, or Phil's, the man disappears entirely too much when he's the only player on the roster capable of creating his own shot on a halfway regular basis. And the Lakers aren't going anywhere with him playing/being used like he is. You'd think Phil would be able to step in and fix this, but it's been a problem since day 1.

i agree. but i thought he was talking specifically about odom, and i consider odom a little more than just a role player.

Its hard to set up a guy like Odom. Hes good at going one on one either in the post or taking his guy to basket from the perimeter. He should go in the post and demand the ball or take guys off the dribble more often. Kobe doesn't decide how many shots other guys take.

I think it's funny that a teammate can't get the ball unless he chases down his comrades for a pass.

While this is all really just an excuse, I blame Phil just as much.

They lost because it was the first game of the season and the Suns weren't running their offense nearly as good as they are now. Not to mention the Lakers were playing a more balanced game earlier in the season. It was more of cut and move offense where as now its more of an isolation style offense.

                              Damn Nuggets....what a waste of a "comeback".

I guarantee Dallas wins by over 30 tonight.

I'm so confused with you Kash. Normally it seems like you hate Kobe and the Lakers, yet you make posts like this that make me think you support them.

Agh, damn you Kash and your confusing tactics!
