Any team can play well for 6 minutes without their best player...Comment

Agree totally Mac.
I've seen just about all of the Lakers last 20 or so games...and, honestly, he does that so many times. Bad shot after bad shot.
He seems to be tired come the 4th...but he still shoots regardless of wether he's got a decent look.
That "fade away three with two men in my face and none of my rebounders in position...", that's ALMOST getting to the stage where that should be his signature J.
It's a terrible shot.
I hate to bring up the MJ comparisons again...but I never saw Jordan go 1-11 down the stretch and pass up open team mates. Not in his prime.
MJ at 25 maybe...but not when he was 30. How old is Kobe now, he'd be around 29 / 30? It's like he hasn't learnt how to trust his teammates...
Just bad basketball. He'll average 40 a game this series...but he'll do it on 12-30 type shooting and LA simply has no chance playing that way.
Does anyone have Kobes ASSIST numbers for the past 20 games? He now seems to get 1 orr assists per night...
Early in the season, he was averaging around 6...and LA looked pretty good.Last edited by Court_vision; 04-22-2007, 08:55 PM.Comment

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
The thing that pisses me off about the Lakers role players is they don't get themselves in the right spot when Kobe gets doubled. They usually spot up for threes when they aren't good shooters. (sure Smush shoots around 37% from 3 which is pretty decent, but 90% of his threes are wide open so that stat is pretty inflated compared to shooters on other teams) My point is that these guys need to stop watching when Kobe gets doubled because if he does pass to them they aren't in a position to score immediately and they always give the D a chance to recover unless they take the quick 3. For all you guys who think Kobe should be passing you might wana look at the other players and think if it would be any better to pass to them based on where they are and how proficient they are at shooting from that spot.Comment

You should've paid attention through 82 games. He'll get his. Mavs are letting GS dictate things right now. He's not like Nash where the ball is always in his hands. Also, GSW is also defending him with 2 people.Last edited by SoMiss2000; 04-22-2007, 09:41 PM."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell
