Heh talk about that...that is horrible.

I remember telling everyone down here "Rockets haven't won on the road yet."

I also feel a series isn't won until you win on the road, of course if you have Homecourt you can just win all 4 games at home...but why take it to a win or lose game 7?

Great win, even pulled the last brew from my stash since this was a must win. Loved the energy, and the intensity. Definitely flustered the team, and they showed heart seeing as they are playing the coronated "champs". Love having Mr. Jackson game planning on our side, now if Kwame can get it through his head that he should always keep both hands on the ball, and Odom can get that shoulder healed, we might have a chance.

I didn't know the Lakers have never been swept in the first round, interesting piece of trivia. The main adjustment made by Kobe and Odom seemingly was how they danced into the paint rather than charging into sun players. Kobe especially did a great job of taking the step around as he reached the paint thus getting the call rather than charging over the defender.

Winning three of the next four is a tall order, but I'll be happy just to scare the swagger out of the Suns especially after all the comments being made about them.

These guys are professionals though. How do you have Tmac and Yao and you cannot get more than 10 points in the 4th qtr.

Thats PATHETIC and the coach needs to re-evaluate his offense BADLY.

Yeah...everyone on the Lakers is known for that.

If I am Phil, I am looking for Walton and Bynum next or someone...because it's like if your name isn't Kobe or Odom, it is impossible to have 2 good games in a row.

I am not a fan of Van Gundy either. I don't think the Rockets will EVER be successful with him as their coach in the Post-season.

Sad part about it...They have a really talented team with all the right pieces.

                Post defender and scorer- Yao
                Defensive player- Battier
                MVP type player- Tmac
3 point shooters- Head, Mac, Battier(occasionally)
                Vets- Mutumbo and Howard
Blocks and help defense- Mutmbo and Yao.

The point is, really good team but a coach who can't get his offense going.

I think they are shooting aroun 30% for this series...yeah that isn't going to work if they play the Mavs next series. If GSW get out, they have played them really well recently when healthy.

Also I don't know what happened to Bonzi, but he would have been a great 6th man coming off the bench.

                  They aren't talented.

The only player who can create his own shot besides mcgrady is Yao.

Everyone else are one trick ponies who need Mcgrady to create shots for them.

Shane, Luther, etc... all they do is shoot 3's. No midrange game and no driving game.

They have no bench at all.

Bonzi was there but Van Dummy drove him insane. The rookies were treated worse than Darko and Kirk Snyder, he won't even let him play.

I really hope they fire this guy and replace him with his brother.

Damm Smush must be the one of the dumbest players in the league. You don't dunk the ball at the end of the game when the clock is expiring! Bell did the right thing fouling him. What smush did is the equivalent of a NFL team who has the ball at the one yard line with 3 seconds on the clock up 7 points and tries to run the ball for a touchdown instead of kneeling down on it. My guess is Smush will be out of the league in two years.

Well, yeah I guess you're right.

They dont have all-star talent, but they have role-players. They don't have a bench, Bonzi would have helped, I know something happened (probably JVG drove him insane.)

I think the series goes 7 though, I don't know who is going to win it. I think the Rockets because of Homecourt and Tmac and Yao, but sometimes the Jazz gel and that would help them pull it out.

At this rate, I dont see Houston winning it. Not with this kind of pathetic play. This is a playoff record just so you know. Only 4 guys scored all game... I am still amazed how a pro can't score a bucket in 48 minutes.

You think Kobe has bad teammates... let me introduce you to Juwan Howard.

Yeah...4 guys is amazingly horrible. Not to mention, those other two guys only scored a combined 17 points...

Wow. Tremendous effort by EVERY Laker tonight. I was impressed. Kwame brought it. Lamar brought it. Smush even played great D! Kobe was Kobe, except he picked his spots perfectly tonight.

The non-believing basketball fan in me thought the Lakers might mail it in tonight. But I had faith and they delivered. Hustle & Effort won that game. Game 4 is still must win for the Lakers. We know Kobe will bring it, but can the rest of the team keep that level of intensity? Because I know the Suns will be back with a much higher level on their part, LA has to match it and then some.

One more thing: What was with Charles saying we should run with the Suns and then after we play our tempo and win the game he still claims that we won because we ran??? I was scratchin my head at that one..
