Even though I want Detroit to win, it's good that the ECF is going to look like it's worth a damn after tonight.

Eh, I was hoping they wouldn't take so much time off the clock. That likely sealed it. Hamilton should have got the ball coming off that screen. Oh well, good game by the Cavs. Bron really stepped it up as well as some of the key role players. We'll get the next one.

            Good win to the Cavs.

They're not the easiest team to watch...so many ISO's.

But it's effective. If they can get to 85 points a night, they'll win this series.

Pistons offense really is limited. 79, 79, 82.

It doesn't give them a lot of room for error.

I can't control what Clay says or does.

You, on the other hand, I can. This is the NBA forum, and I expect the discussion here to be, oh, I don't know.....NBA related.

A lot of it has to do w/ Cleveland's defense as well... We're a better defensive team than most give us credit for. Our offense is just really stagnant. Tonight it was much better, and we got some good looks...

Very true. Cavs D is just as good as the Pistons in this series...so far, anyway.

Anyway, great win for the Cavaliers tonight. The core of the future is asserting itself, (Boobie, Pav and Andy) while our vets continue to look horrible. Bron asserted himself, which hopefully he realizes is absolutely vital on a team that is so inconsistent on the offensive end. This team better not relax though, or we will go back to D-Town 3-1.

On another note, met some Detroitites who drove down for the Mike Epps show last night. I expected them to be talking a little smack but a couple of them said that they felt Detroit was lucky to be up 2-0. We had a pretty good discussion at the bar, cool dudes.

                            From Wikipedia:

Coach Tom Nisslake was fired as owners become tired of the Spurs slow defensive style of games. He would be replaced by Bob Bass, who stated that the Spurs would have an entirely new playing style: "It is my belief that you cannot throw a set offense at another professional team for 48 minutes. You've got to let them play some schoolyard basketball." George Gervin and James Silas took that style to heart, as the Spurs became an exciting fast breaking team on the way to a solid 51-33 record, good enough for 2nd place in the West. Gervin: "Our whole theory was that you shoot 100 times, we'll shoot 107." However in the playoffs the Spurs would fall to the Indiana Pacers in 6 games.

Great reason why running teams will always lose the big ones.

Good game by the Cavs in a must-win situation. I agree, if they get 85+ per game, that will greatly improve their chances. Problem is, they are averaging under 80 in their last 10 vs. Detroit. The big 88 tonight came on their best shooting night in literally a month (and that was against the beat-up Wiz). If they are able to go 85+ though, they'd be in pretty good shape.
