Re: Kurt Thomas to Seattle
This is ridiculous. I'm sick of them trading every single player known to mankind for money. Cap problems or not, Thomas was good for us last year, and you can certainly get a lot more. It's idiotic at the least. -

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Kurt Thomas to Seattle
How in the world are they going to beat the Spurs and deal with Duncan without Thomas? Their only hope now, is to hope Dallas beats them (Spurs) for them.
Kurt did a good job of slowing down Duncan in the playoffs when Amare stayed in foul trouble. I think if anything this makes the Spurs the early favorite for geating out of the West this year.
I think the Suns will regret this move.Comment

Re: Kurt Thomas to Seattle
I'm interested to hear phx side.
I don't blame kerr I blame the owner. he just doesn't want to pay the tax.
if he really wants to win now he had better be the most prudent guy in the nba because they won't have a very good future with no young guns at this rateComment

Re: Kurt Thomas to Seattle
The article says it all, PHX was in over their head financially, the first pick (2008) doesn't mean too much, it will be a late 1st rounder and they'll still have their core back, the 2010 pick may hurt a little more it will come when the Suns may not have some of their studs around anymore. This move could help free some money up for a possible big move in the next year or so.Comment

Re: Kurt Thomas to Seattle
I'm in favor of saving money, and have defended every deal we have made in order to do so....but this is an absolute TERRIBLE deal.
Kurt Thomas was probably one of three players who came to play every freakin' game in the playoffs.
This is bad, very bad.Comment

Re: Kurt Thomas to Seattle
Kerr was very good in recognising individual talent and the importance of a player like Thomas when he was commentating. I know he didn't loose his niche for evaluating players overnight.... as these recent moves suggest.
That's why I think it's the owner.Comment
