I WANT PAYTON TO LEAVE AND GO TO A CONTENDER.

Payton is too great a player to retire with no ring.

frekaing Kings should just trade bobby jackson, doug christie, hedo turkgolu, and gerald wallace for payton.

i duno find a way to work out them contracts and put GP at the 2.

Re: Payton = Instant Impact In Milwaukee

I think this will be a quick run for GP in a Bucks uniform. If the playoffs started today, the Bucks would have to go against New Jersey on the road. Not to say that they can`t compete with NJ, but the Bucks are still too SMALL in the post to cause any major damage IMO.

Let`s say "somehow" the Bucks move up to the 6th seed (which I HIGHLY doubt seeing how hot the Hornets are WITHOUT Baron Davis)...they`ll have to play the Pacers. Now, with Isaiah Thomas going with a big lineup recently (even though they`ve lost most of those games), a 7 game series with Artest guarding GP will eliminate GP`s post-up options. I think either way, the Bucks get bounced in the first round.

In the summer, GP will be looking for a max deal with a contender.....NOT GONNA HAPPEN

IMO, GP`s best chance to win would be to sign a 1 or 2 year deal over the summer with either San Antonio or Orlando. More likely Orlando because he`ll have an easier time getting to the Finals in the weaker East. I can`t see ANY team giving GP the max at 34 years old. Yeah, he`s a future Hall of Famer, but max deals nowadays are reserved for players in the 20s or players who`ve played their career with one team and are at the final stages of their career (the deal he should`ve gotten in Seattle).

The Bucks need to make moves to get a big man in the summer and somehow not trading Redd, Mason or Cassell because that`s a solid 3 to build around.

        peace

Hopefully next year payton signs with the Twolves. It would give them the pg they need to advance.

just a week ago the bucks were in the 5 spot i nthe east, u telling me in about 30 games they cant move back that high or possibly even higher?? i mean good lord they r 2 1/2 games out of the 4th spot for god sakes. u make it sound like they cant get hot either, and start movin up in the conference standings. any of those teams that r hot now could easily cool off and the bucks can pass them by.

I'm glad (relieved) that Cassell played well with Payton, but I'm still not convinced that this trade made them a "better" team. You guys really sell Ray Allen short. GP's a better player but Allen is a better SG than Payton or Cassell. The only thing I see being a potential advantage is his defense.

Payton and Malone both said they'd take huge pay cuts just to play for the Lakers next year.
