No competition between T-Mac and Kobe. Kobe is competing with himself as to how many times he can see himself on Sportscenter.

T-Mac plays a COMPLETE game and this game against the Nets proves it. ALL-AROUND. And he makes his teamates better in the process, especially the younger players.

Kobe is consumed in his own ego. I want to see Kobe try to chuck it up 30+ times during the playoffs and see how far the Lakers go. I think electro-shocks go through Kobe Bryant`s body when he passes the ball to his teamates. I hope he remembers this streak of his when the Lakers get knocked out of the playoffs...

I am a neutral here. T-Mac or Kobe aren't my favourites.

Having said that, I have to agree. Watching a guy take 6 straight shots and miss...just to get above 40...is pretty sad.

AI, who I do really like, did something like that...in his rookie year. He grew up from it.

T-Mac had 52 after 3 the other day and sat.

            QUESTION FOR EVERYONE
If Kobe had 39 after 3...and LA was up by 30...and they had a big game the next night and Phil wanted to rest the starters...does anyone think Kobe would sit?

My gut answer is he'd play on to get his personal records...

Just on that alone, I'd vote for T-Mac as the better player.

Lets see, nope I'd just let Kobe sit there with 39 points knowing he could tie the record of the dubbed "greatest of all time". Cause dare anybody try to break a record, it's the cardinal sin. Big Mac and Sammy shoulda quit at 60 back in 98 too. Gah damn sports and records these days. Emmitt Smith shoulda fell after a 6 yard gain this year on the record breaking run, and called it quits.

Friday night Tmac had 52 points at the end of the 3rd quarter. He was 1 point off from the Magic Team Record held by Shaq but you didn't seem him making a big deal about not playing the 4th quarter. Hell he was just happy to rest , afterall he has carried the Magic all year. Without him we could possibly be worse than the Cavs and Nuggets. Well before the trade anyway.

                        Kobe, TMac. . . . TMac, Kobe. . . . Kobe, TMac. . . . TMac, Kobe. . . .Kobe, TMac. . . . TMac, Kobe. . . .Kobe, TMac. . . . TMac, Kobe. . . .Kobe, TMac. . . . TMac, Kobe. . . .Kobe, TMac. . . . TMac, Kobe. . . .

Hmmmm, when will this ever end. I always look away for the weekends, and when I get here, always the same things. TMac has gone just NUTZ since Mike Miller got traded. That's all there is to it. He misses his best bud that was on that team, and is just mad to hell that he got traded. He's taking it out on any team that is getting in his way. Doc Rivers asked TMac if he has any other friends on the team, cause they were gonna trade them too.

As for who's better, that argument is old. It's like comparing Magic and Bird, Wilt and Bill, Jordan and. . . uhhh, hold on for that one. They're both great, and it's just a useless argument. No need in getting in fights and crazy arguments over it. You can't tell who's who, and what's what yet. It's all personal preference. Whether you like LA or not will pretty much dictate which player you like.

As for the stats in concern, I don't like how people feel like they "know" what Kobe or TMac are thinking. They could both be thinking that they want the scoring title. We don't know that. Kobe is possibly a stat whore, we don't know that. Same for TMac. So, let's just enjoy both of their stat whoring and have fun watching the games.

As a side note, I saw the Lakers game yesterday, and the last 6-7 shots that Kobe took were most definitely for continuing the stat of 40pt+ games. But the rest of his shots, that got up to the 39pts, was totally in the flow of the game. He passed when needed, and shot when needed. And they won, so it's all a moot point. He also appologized in LaTimes.com for taking so many shots. But everyone was eggin him on, teammates, fans, me from home.

Oh, and TMac is nutz. He's just crazy.

Can we have a all TMAC thread too?

I mean IMO Tmac deserves a sticky thread more than Kobe.

                                Can we do that Steve?
