Although Dirk is a top 10 player in the NBA, and he is on the team with the best record, he will not get too many votes for MVP. Reason being, 2 reason actually, Steve Nash and Michael Finley. That is the same reason why no one on the Kings will win it, cause they have Webber, Peja, and Bibby. Kobe might get it, but because of Shaq, it's also hard for him.

The MVP leading candidates are Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Tracy McGrady, and Jason Kidd. Kobe is there because he's just going crazy right now, and he has got the Lakers into the playoff race. They are currently 7th. I don't think he'll get it, but he might.

Don't you mean Tim Duncan or T-Mac for MVP? And with Kobe's recent sreak, I have to say its a three man race.

You really can't overlook KG. That man is so awesome. It's just great. I love watching his game. He has such a great feel for it. Like the mans says "20-10-5" Night in, night out. This year he is averaging 23-13-5.6. Those are all career highs.

The MVP race is going to be close this year. TD, TMac, KG and yes, dare I say, Kobe. All four of these players are playing excellent right now. It's going to come down at the end of the season.

You are right, Shakobe. Certainly a four man race. I think KG is the most underrated player in the league...he just doesn't get the props that the other superstars get. I even forgot to put him on my MVP list. Blasphemy.
