But Dirk has other All Stars and guy who shouldve been all stars, who have had a fairly constant level of play all year long. Kobe has had to carry the team on his back to get them into a playoff spot. Shaq has helped, but not nearly as much as finley, nash, lafrentz, and van exel have helped dirk.

You are right, Shakobe. Certainly a four man race. I think KG is the most underrated player in the league...he just doesn't get the props that the other superstars get. I even forgot to put him on my MVP list. Blasphemy.

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post"> Maybe if he EVER gets his team outta the first round he won't be underrated, but as of now I think he gets all the props he deserves. I mean people hate on Kobe for numbers but not KG, at the very least Kobe has the titles to back up what he's doing (I hate the Lakers btw). If KG gets em outta the first round or even gets em to the last game of a first round series then maybe he can be mentioned as a MVP type player. Oh I don't really follow the T-Wolves have but I do remember that they have been swept outta the first round a couple times...even with Starbury, you have to admit, that kinda embarassing.

Where did I say they stink? I said they aren't as good as Dirk's teammates. Lets compare:
                Dirk &amp; Nash = Kobe &amp; Shaq
Lafrentz and Horry are not too far apart
                Finley is better than Fox
Van Exel is better than Fisher

Therefore, Kobe is working with less talent than Dirk (especially with Shaq hurt). I like the Mavs &amp; Dirk, but to compare Kobe &amp; Dirk like you are is wrong, IMO.

I know Dirk is a far supiorer player when it come to skill, however Shaq basically plays king of the hill in the post and knocks any and everyone over on his way to the basket. Untill they call it like it should be Shaq will be unstopable on the court!

Where did I say they stink? I said they aren't as good as Dirk's teammates. Lets compare:
                              Dirk &amp; Nash = Kobe &amp; Shaq
Lafrentz and Horry are not too far apart
                              Finley is better than Fox
Van Exel is better than Fisher

Therefore, Kobe is working with less talent than Dirk (especially with Shaq hurt). I like the Mavs &amp; Dirk, but to compare Kobe &amp; Dirk like you are is wrong, IMO.

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post"> Um I am sorry but NOONE compares to Shaq that comment was silly, IF they called the rules like they were written Shaq would be much less valuable but they let him get away with murder (more power to him). But Shaq is the most dominant not the best (there is a difference) and to compare him to Dirk is silly. I know Dirk is a far supiorer player when it come to skill, however Shaq basically plays king of the hill in the post and knocks any and everyone over on his way to the basket. Untill they call it like it should be Shaq will be unstopable on the court!

I agree with you that there are other guys more deserving. But I do feel Dirk does not desrve it as much as Kobe does.
