    Re: All MVP Talk

I haven't read anything in this thread, but here is my 2 cents:

MVP should be re-defined, and there should be 2 awards. There should be an MVP award for the player that is most valuable to their team, and their should be a Player of the Year award, the player with the best stats or whatever. Kevin Garnett is easily the MVP of this season, and the Player of the Year...I don't know, my top 4 are Kobe, T-Mac, Duncan, and Garnett...all having superstar years...but KG is definetly the most valuable to his team, leading his team to the playoffs almost single handed, in the western conference...

There's an IBM award to the player who is most valuable to his team. Shaq's won it for the past 3 or 4 years.

I think it's based solely on numbers and percentages.

I hope Kobe wins it but he has Shaq so it's very hard to get an MVP award when Shaq is on the same team. I think T-Mac is also great but his team isn't. So he won't win it either. Duncan can win it also but he has won it the previous year so that counts to, i think.

That leaves only one player left: KEVIN GARNETT i think he wil win it.

I said it before, if KG can get the TWolves into the 4th seed of the playoffs, he's gonna get the award. Well, they are now there, so, I think, he should win it all.

Also, I was wondering what everyone thought about the other awards out there. Here are my thoughts.

                      MVP - Kevin Garnett
                      ROY - Yao Ming
                      COY - Greg Pop (SA)
                      6th - Andre Kirlinko
                      DPY - Ben Wallace
                      Most Improved - Jason Williams
                      Exec - Geoff Petrie
