Yeah Kirk got huge over the summer. His wife must be a workout.

Al Thornton has been tearing up the preseason thus far from what I've read.

He is an NBA player. His game was not geared toward college at all, and I could tell he'd be good in the league.

He's gonna be a candidate for ROY, especially with Elton Brand out in LAC.

Not anything big but the Celtics loss to the Knicks. I know it's preseason but that has me excited to see what it looks like during the season for both teams. I know the Knicks have boosted their team a bit. Definitely interested in seeing those two teams go at it again. On another note, Nate Robinson grabbed the same amount of rebounds as Curry & Randolph.......

I'm hardly an A.I. lover, but I can't grasp how any Philly fan could be so bitter towards him.

This game really showed how bad we need a defensive C to backup Perkins who didn't play. Garnett had to do way to much on the defensive end. I'm hoping the Twolves release Ratliff who is expiring after this year and they have no real use for and we can pick him back up - that would be perfect. On that same train of thought... I would love to somehow get Ricky Davis back as a 6th man again - another perfect compliment to our team as it stands (unrealistic though).

Ever since he was traded to the Nuggets it seems like you've been taking little shots at him at any opportunity. If you're not then I stand corrected.

LOL no, seriously, I haven't taken a shot at AI in this thread. To say he can't shoot isn't a cheap shot at him. It's the truth.

Well he didn't lead the league in scoring on dunks, lol. AI isn't the best shooter in the league, but to say he can't shoot requires more explanation for his career ppg. Especially at 6ft.

Of course he can put the ball in the basket, especially when he was taking it to the hoop alot in his career.

Let's just agree that he's a definite scorer, not a shooter.

Re: Who Has Surprised in Pre-Season

I'm not going to agree on that, because you said he can't shoot. If you said he was more of a scorer then a shooter, than I'd agree, but you said that you could shoot better than Iverson who has averaged the most points at his size(6ft, 160) ever in the history of the league. I realize this was facetious hyperbole, but it goes too far when you back it up after scrutiny. Someone challenged your point, and you repeated it: "Iverson can't shoot."

That statement is incorrect, because it is not an option as a defender to just back off of Iverson. That would be bad scouting. That is a scouting report for Rajon Rondo, or TJ Ford, not the former 4 time scoring champion.
