why would i whine about an out of control D-Whistle being bailed out by a BS foul call by Salvatore with 4 seconds left in an NBA finals game, and getting sent to the line for the winning free throws WITH 4 SECONDS LEFT in an NBA finals game? (did i mention there were 4 seconds left in the game and that it was the NBA finals?)

In terms of passing I don't even think it's that close, Bird > Jordan.


Last second shot, you can't go wrong with Bird or MJ but I'd take Jordan. I'd say they're even.

Let's take a look at Jordan vs. Bird matchup...

I was big Bird/C's fan in those days, but you can't compare a championship-calibur Celtics team at it's peak with 3 HOF players and support from greats like DJ....to the pre-dynasty Bulls.

Bird had great players around him to divert some of the defensive attention, and a hell of alot better defense behind him...too much of an advantage to make this a relevant comparison, IMO. I do agree that some are sleeping on how nasty Bird was in crunchtime. Not just last-second scoring but with big boards and deflections as well.

Dude was just a winner.

Larry had a lot around him. The teams he played also had a lot around them to. The Pistons, Knicks, Lakers, 6ers, and I am sure I am leaving out a few, but those teams had a ton of talent as well.

how can anyone not pick MJ...all of the game winners he hit in huge situations

Bird was a great great player but he can't compare to what MJ accomplished

Reggie was clutch but he needs a screen to get open

MJ could beat you off the dribble, posting up, and with a pass
