Charlotte should do whatever it takes to hold on to Mek. I don't think you guys understand how important it is to have a defensively dominant big man on your team.

It's also important to get value from your dollar. You get a high-price, injury-prone player on your team, it can end up crippling your franchise. Ask the Magic w/Grant Hill. & he gave no indication of health problems before he signed his contract. Its best to save that money for a player who's really worth it. If he continues w/his 16/10/2 over 70+ games this year, fine. But if he's out for 20 games again, its best to save that money, take your lump, & not have salary constraints prevent you from getting something as or more valuable later on.

You are so right...it is very important to have a defensively dominant big man on your team....but if he's on the bench for 1/4 of the season, he's not doing us any favors. He does not deserve D12 type of money...period. If he know what I know he better take that 13 mill and run because if he miss 20 more games this season, that 13 mill will turn to 10 very quick. Everyone knows that he isn't as good as Howard but he doesn't seem to grasp the fact. I'm at almost every Bobcat game and the fans are getting really irritated with Mek and May.

Also Gerald Wallace is pretty much the franchise player....Raymond Felton is more of the face of the franchise.

If performances like tonight's are gonna be more frequent, he might command even more cheddar.

Felton, Richardson, Wallace, Okafor. Not a bad core. If only Richardson was consistent.

I'm starting to lean for giving Emeka what he wants. One thing about him is he is in great physical shape. That's not the same as "will never get injured". He can play a lot of minutes and play defense that entire time. He's got the body of a good athlete and is strong. Weight won't be an issue which is nice, and that might help alleviate the injuries.

If J-Rich was on tonight Charlotte would've won by 20. Their bench looks terrible though. As much as I hate Morrison, having 2 shooters who can come in is better than one. Having May would really help as well.

              Here's to next year!

They need more depth behind 'Meka. If he's asked to do as much as he is now, night in-night out....then it's only a matter of time before he wears down/gets hurt.
"Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."
