Re: Call your shot..Hawks for real?
I hope so. They have too much talent to be horrible like they usually are.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :) -

As with any young team, until they can compete and get some quality wins on the road, you have to say "not yet".Jordan Mychal Lemos
@crypticjordan
Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: Call your shot..Hawks for real?
Even with their aquisitions, they have a major talent issue. Their best player is not as dominant as the best player on other teams.
If I were a GM, I'd take these Eastern Conference players over Joe Johnson:
Jason Kidd
Chris Bosh
Dwayne Wade
Lebron James
Gilbert Arenas
Zach Randolph
Dwight Howard
KG
Paul Pierce
Ray Allen
I mean, the list can go on from there, really. They don't have the supporting cast to not have a blockbuster All Star. Joe Johnson is a fine player, but he's a second option, not a franchise player. They won't contend until one of their young guys emerges as a superstar. Until then, the best they can hope for is an easy first round exit. And at this point, that is wishful thinking.
And that's not even addressing the fact that they are all 6'8. Who do they think they are, Golden State?Comment

Re: Call your shot..Hawks for real?
Don't the Hawks usually start off fast? like 5-6 wins in the season's 1st month, then 15-20 wins the rest of the way?Originally posted by VP Richard M. NixonI always remember that whatever I have done in the past, or may do in the future, Duke University is responsible one way or the other.
Thanks, dookies!Comment

Is coaching the problem? Bet PJ would have that team on slap mode.Last edited by HMcCoy; 11-08-2007, 06:03 AM.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Re: Call your shot..Hawks for real?
Zach Randolph maybe but you seriously think Joe Johnson is better then Pierce or Ray Allen? What has Joe Johnson done in his career to be considered better then the truth or ray allen? Has Joe Johnson even been on an allstar team, I mean come on.18-1 hell of a season regardlessComment

Re: Call your shot..Hawks for real?
Lol, thats the point, Leah...call your shot. For real or Fugazi? I dunno, haven't seen the games, but there is definetly some talent down there...and it seems almost impossible that NONE of those high picks will become studs. I know that every year they show snatches of being really good and end up stinking yet again, but things have to turn around at some point, don't they? ATL could be scary if 2-3 of those guys suddenly start to "get it" at the same time. Not saying they will or won't, but if they do...

Re: Call your shot..Hawks for real?
How can you not take a big man who at this point is averaging 20 and 13? That makes absolutely no sense at all to me. And he is young so he has alot of mileage left over for consistent 20-10 seasons.Comment

Re: Call your shot..Hawks for real?
Zach Randolph is averaging almost 20 pts and 14 rebs a game. You guys are crazy. He is guaranteed buckets from every spot on the floor. You seriously don't know how good he is.
Joe Johnson is averaging 20 pts on 41% shooting. ????? Why would you want that over one of the few 20 and 10 guys in the league? Especially one who is what, 25 years old? You kidding me? Zach Randolph can literally score on everyone. He's strong, fast, a great shooter at the forward position and has a ridiculous...REE-DIK youlusss...touch around the basket.
I've been watching JJ since Phoenix, and he's a good player, but he's putting up worse number than Jamal Crawford this year.
Crawford: 24.7 pts 7.0 asts 2.7 rebs 45% from the Field 41% from 3pt range.
Joe Johnson. PSSHHHHHH!
Pshaw to JJ. Pshaw.Comment
