LOL @ JJ being better than Pierce. At this point I would rather have him than Ray Allen, just because of the age its probably a better investment to have Johnson. But Ray Ray is also better than Joe Johnson for right now.

I can agree with that. If you're a GM trading players, then sure, you can take JJ for age. But for RIGHT NOW, KG is better with Allen, and since they are all in their respective primes, that 3 year window is unaffected by the age issue in Boston's case.

So as it is, JJ is not better than Ray Ray. Not even close, really, when you consider Ray's role on this current team. They need the positives of Ray's pure shooting rather than Joe's size and all around scoring ability. They have PP to be JJ, and he's much better at it.

Johnson is nothing more than a sidekick. Soooo I don't know if they're "real" or not, I just know they aren't competing for a title anytime soon. Unless they do a big shakeup, they aren't gonna beat any of the top teams in a series. They remind me of the Bulls, in that they have a lot of talent and "good" players just not a great one.. and no apparent leader.

Now if they would've drafted wiser, and got themselves CP3 or D Will....

Atlanta's management has been in shambles for quite some time, so it's not fair to judge their team for the way business at hand has been handled up until now.

I'm not sure what kind of move it was to sign JJ to such a large amount of money although I think he's worth it, but I do think they have some solid talent in ATL.

Sure they drafted PF after PF when they needed a pg years over, but that kind of remind me of how the Clippers in the past.

Once the management gets serious enough to win, they can be looked at, but it's hard to win, when you tell the GM, you have this much money (say 30 mil yr) to use, make a team with it.

While they handcuffed Knight their talent seems to be shaping up. I'm not sure if its one of 3 things yet.

Could be a combo of some or all, but one thing for sure, the jury is still out on the Hawks. They can be exciting to watch though.
