I'll give them that, Eddie and George...but Damp would have been a non-factor because the Warriors would have ran him off the court.

Also though Stephen is their 2nd best player, not making excuses for them I just saw that whole game and it looked exactly like the playoff games. The Mavs just didn't prove to me that if they played the Warriors in the playoffs again, that they could beat them in a 7 game series.

I think Kenny Smith made a really good point about statement games. I don't usually believe in that stuff...but the Warriors embarrassed the Mavs, flushed their whole season last year down the toilet. I thought the Mavs would show up and prove that they are improved, instead that game made them look last years Mavs...and last years Mavs didn't get it done. We'll see as the season unfolds though.

Golden State has to make the playoffs first. Currently they are 0-5. Unfortunately for the Warriors, they have to beat teams besides the Mavs.

I dont think Dallas is going to have to worry about the Warriors this year. They arent as good, and they wont be as lucky. I doubt GS makes the playoffs. The teams Dallas will have to compete with are the Spurs and Rockets, and the Mavs match up very well against both of those teams.

I agree with Kenny and Charles, it looked like the same Dallas playing the Warriors except the Warriors didn't have Stephen.
The Mavs were missing 3 players, including 2 starters. It goes both ways, at least it should.

Dampier was injured and missed the series last year, and you didnt here people using that as an excuse

I don't understand what was so bad about the Bulls/Pistons game.

It came down to the last second, and I wasn't thrilled at all. It's just boring plain and simple. The Pistons used to be on par with the Spurs in terms of "boring", but beautiful basketball. Now they just seem so bored. The East is just painful to watch. I wish they'd show the Hawks or Knicks or Bobcats or Bucks. Some of the East teams that are young.

Because Dallas should've beat the pants off of GS in that series, anyway. But things didn't work out that way, huh?

Glad to get the W. Both teams were short handed, but it was still a great game. Hopefully we won't have to face them in the playoffs this year, but with the new pieces we have I think we are ready.

                          It isn't a double-standard.

Stephen Jackson means MUCH MUCH more to the Warriors than any of those players that were out. We are talking about their 2nd best player.

Missing SJax who is the 2nd best player and emotional leader of the team is much bigger disadvantage, then missing role players like Jones, George, and Dampier who by the way would be a non-factor as he was in the playoffs. Im sure Dallas wanted to blow the Warriors out of the building for payback, but they didn't. Hopefully Warriors make the playoffs and we see another Mavs-Warriors series, because those are fun games to watch. I wouldn't count the Warriors out of making the playoffs either, way too early for that after all Dallas was 0-4 last year and won 67 games.

Dallas has had to deal with quite a few players missing games over the past few seasons and you havent seen it used as an excuse. Last night they were missing two starters

as far as Stephen Jackson, he shouldnt have committed a felony if he didnt want to be suspended. That is one of the drawbacks of bringing in a punk like Jackson to your team. Im sure there are going to be more suspensions for him in the future. There is a reason why no one else in the NBA wanted him.

I'm not going to call Jackson a punk, because I don't know the guy. As for you guys never using it as a excuse okay who said you were. All I am saying is that the Mavs didn't convince me last night that they could beat the Warriors in a 7 game series.
